    i was informed on 08/07/2023 that my father had passed away in ***************, i live in ****** so had to start with arrangements straight away so we contacted clark and norris and booked an appointment as it is stated on the website that a cremation was only $695, we completed the forms to release his body and booked flights to ******* i arrived in *************** on 08/09/2023 and met with clark and norris who then stated the prices on the website are just for the burning of the body and that we would need to pay alot of other costs. this totalled to over $2000. we explained we couldnt pay this and that my uncle from england would pay it over the phone, they then stated thety would have to charge us another $300 for using a card, feeling stuck as we are not from the usa we agreed to pay this, we then made arrangements to see the body on friday 08/11/2023.mu uncle then tried to make the payment on 3 separate occasions but ***** who works on reception would not allow the payment to be made without jumping threw a whole load of loops.on 08/10/2023 around 5pm i called the funeral home to confirm a time of viewing the next day.i was then told they had not actually collected the body due to having trouble with the payment, at this point i asked them to hold the contract whilst i made some phone calls, i then contacted another company who were utterly suprised by what was happening and stated they could take over everything and that paying by card isnt an issue.i called clark and norris back to tell them i would have the body collected by another phone call to be then told that in the 5 minutes since i had spoke to them they had drove and collected the body and that they will not release the body to someone else unless i pay them $450.i couldnt believe that they first had lied about collecting his body and now they are holding his body as a **** in getting us to pay.after some emails back and forth they reduced this payment to $350 which we have now paid
