03/16/2023 replaced our gutters on south side of our home. The gutters are not the same as exiting gutters, smaller. The siding had a gap at the top, after they removed gutter, we had just repaired the siding, per their request. We asked about the gap, They said we need to call our siding contractor. The front lanai gutter are completely different in size to our facia and gutters. Had they told us it would be completely different we would have kept our gutter on the lanai and just added a downspout. It looks terrible. The gap under the gutter will get rain in it and down inside our siding, probably inside our home again. These are damages from hurricane Ian. We talked to them about how bad it was and possible fixes with flashing or something, they said no. I told them the lanai is horrible work, and I wouldn’t pay them for this work. I told them to take it down. They said the would when we called them but leave it up until someone fixed it, or replaced! Next thing I know they are putting a Lien against my home. We are trying to figure out a fix and are willing to pay for any gutter we keep. However the lanai has to be redone, I will not pay for horrible work. I have added pictures of our home prior Ian, damage, and the repair.

Firstly when we send the estimate, we put exactly what you received, 6” k style.  You approved the estimate and measurement of the gutter to be installed.  and that was what he received.  It couldn't be exactly like the one I had before because that's not what was offered.  Once again, I repeat, you were offered a 6” k style and that was what you approved and received.  and you were watching when the team was making the pieces in front of your house.  It cannot be that the work is completely finished to say that it was not what I expected.  and in that same community we have sold 40 houses with the same style of gutter and all the clients have paid what they received.  and if you must call a faith siding contractor to put a trim board on the end of your wall.

Here I attach the photo of the estimate that you approved.

So sorry this happened. Definitely had the chance to let the installer know that you were not happy with the look of the gutters while they were installing instead of waiting to call us when they were gane. We let the gutter up because is better for you to have something protecting (even though you don't like how it looks) instead of nothing at all without a charge. We agreed to not be paid since you were not happy with the job. We agreed you will find another contractor that can do the job you want and keep the gutters we install up until the other one comes at no cost.

I can post here the estimate where it explained very explicit the model and size of the gutter it'd be installed. We were very clear and offer what we installed.

Again, sorry you didn't like it, you didn't pay in the end and we were ok with that.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. We have talked with the business and have agreed to pay them, minus the money it took to fix it. We are paying them $100.00 less then the original bill. We were not looking for something for nothing.

    Sincerely,
