Vehicle was towed by this company. Picked up vehicle within hours and my vehicle has substantial damage. Yard where picked up would not give me a person's name nor the driver who towed it. They only accept cash and they have similar complaints all over the state with judgments issued against them for illegally towing and also damaging vehicles. They move all over the state to avoid paying. Now there at *************************************** ********* Fl. They move around different addresses, ***********, *********, *****. They do not respond to any complaints or subpoenas. They dont appear in court andvthe judgements issued against them go unpaid. This company towed my car without any prior notice, as I was told by the *** is supposed to be the process. They left no info for me to even know what happened to my car. When I called to obtain details, a *** named ****** was extremely rude & condescending when responding to my questions, making comments which seemed intended to bait & upset me further. When I asked about any type of notification being sent out he stated its not their **************** not required to provide notice. ****** also made a comment stating that if I had taken care of this when I should have, I wouldnt have this problem & wouldnt have been towed. I kept calling to keep asking questions about getting my vehicle **************************** up on me multiple times, laughingly asking me if I wanted to see how he dealt with disrespectful customers such as myself, & hung up again. I called at least 10 times to try to confirm the ********* kept answering & hanging up. Finally a ***** answered, extremely rudely asking what I want because shes busy & if I dont need anything to stop calling & hung up. I called back & asked ***** why she hung up on me & that this is horrible customer service, she stated that she has a lot going on, theyre very busy, & she doesnt have time to be dealing w/ me & answering my stupid questions. I said excuse me? & she hung up & then proceeded to block my number so I spent the whole afternoon trying to get in touch with them somehow but couldnt. If I called from a different number, as soon as I gave them my car info theyd put me on hold & then hang up over & over. Ended up having to go in person, as I didnt confirm any info, & then waited over an ************** came to release my car, which cost me an extra $50. The supervisor, ***************************, said he listened to my calls & wanted to play them to prove my belligerence but surprise surprise, he only had 3 calls, NONE that were the ones I was referring to where his ***s were disrespectful.Initial Complaint

Earlier this year Hydra illegally towed my car due to expired tags. They told me that it was the apartment complex. I went to the apartment to the apartment complex and they said that it's hydra who *** this authorization. They required me to pay 250 in cash which made me feel high uncomfortable. Today jul/13/2023, they towed my family members car who lend it to me after my cars breaks went out. I registered the vehicle with the apartment complex they insured me that my car would not get towed. Come this morning the car gor towed and they stated that it was due to the fact that I parked in in a reserved parking spot. The sign was not visible when I parked it at night when I called Hydra I was unaware about the sign until the Dispatcher told me. So I walk to said parking spot and viewed a very small painted sign on the ground. The Dispatcher argued with and said that the sign is big enough by state law. I registered the car on the 11th of July 2024. This company is focused on making income rather than ensuring rules. A warning sticker would've been feasible and I registered the car so they could've looked it up and contacted me and they didn't. This is highly unprofessional. They are demanding 250 in order to release the car.Initial Complaint

This company is dedicated to abusing people by taking a car without any reason to park to pay 250 and with attitude and rudeness, here is my story long story just be careful where they have the residential that has this service already paid twice for no reason. My wife parked in a no park zone and our car was towed by Hydra Recovery. That was our fault and no problems. I went to the place where it was stored, paid them their fee in cash as they requested with. O complaint cause I know we were in the wrong. The gentlemen that helped me was very nice and pleasant. I got my car and as soon as I was on the road I realized my front passenger tire was flat. I was lucky to be by a tire shop and the guy put air in my tire and found a hole in the inside wall of the tire. The set of tires is fairly new too. He didn’t have a tire but helped me put on the spare and found someone that had one that was close by. I got the tires changed and $100 later was good to go. Short version was they damaged my tire when they were hooking up to tow. I don’t even mind the $200 cash fee they charged but I feel they need to reimburse me the $100 it cost to replace my tire.Initial Complaint

Illegally towed my car for not having an updated Florida registration. Moved to Florida on January 4. Towed on January 27. I have 30 days per Florida law to update my registration. A tow company is not above the law. Hydra pointed fingers at my apartment complex. Apartment complex pointed fingers at Hydra. No one taking responsibility. This company illegally towed my car from an apartment complex, violated several parts of the Florida Statute (715.07) and are basically holding the car hostage at this point. They rarely answer the phone and when they do, they just yell, talk over and/or hang up. They insist you "make an appointment" to pick up your car but won't return calls or respond to emails. Their website link is broken, their "business" voicemail doesn't state their hours of operation or location (which they also refused to provide over the phone) and they didn't provide an appropriate warning of their intent to tow. They claim to be closed on the weekends, yet that's when my car was towed (a Saturday). This is more than just a lack of professionalism, this is a predatory company with a total disregard for the Florida laws that govern the towing industry. My car needs to be returned, free of charge and without damage or retaliation.
