I live in a community with private roads and an ***. They towed my car because I was parked at the end of my own driveway and my tires were in the grass. They told me they have a contract with the *** and drive through and take cars from homes for *** violations even without anyone calling in a complaint. Violations like parking in the grass in anyway (we live in townhomes, if you don't park as close as you can the guy across the street can't get out because our road is 8 feet wide), blocking the sidewalks, fire hydrants, etc. They told me $185 cash only (they must have had my car for like 8 hours) and when I got up there the sign on the side of the building said $125. I've called before to have a car that was parked at the end of my driveway removed and they told me I didn't have authority and only two people on the *** could call in ****. I look forward to dealing with them again.

I am a Business owner based in **************. We have had many towing experiences over 15 yrs with our fleet of Trucks in the Foodservice Industry. But there is one in this area that requires us to pay with Cash Only. This company does not accept Credit Card or certify checks for payment. This is unheard of in business regardless of the issue of the tow. As a businessman of long standing in our community I would avoid this company at all costs . especially if you value your pocketbook They came into private property and removed our vehicle that was parked and had a valid plate on it. They charged us 500 dollars without notifying the management company that manages this commercial buildings or my company of this horrible act. I called the ******************* to ask them about this payment and they told me *** has a statue law stating that a company has to accept other forms of payment. Yes I payed them$ ****** in cash so that owner of that business can potentially pocket that money. You should go after companies like this. My company mikes specialty services in the state of ******* follows all regulations set by the state why dont they?--

This vehicle was towed on private property witha signed contract from the property manager to tow away for certain violations in which he had one of those. We notify management and the ************** every time something is towed at the time of tow along with pictures, etc. As far as payment our company policy for Private property tows are cash only mainly due to people that of course are upset about their cars being towed for reasons usually they feel are wrong but are at the request of the property owner/managers. so taking credit cards they usually always dispute, so therefore we do cash only, which is our right to do so. I assure you it still goes on record and taxes paid on it.

I had the best experience with Universal Towing yesterday. They saved me from having to wait 3-4 hours for AAA to show up. The driver was so helpful. Totally professional in every respect. I could not have asked for a better experience and would recommend them anytime for towing services. **** was the best. He saved the day !!!

They are thieves! They just tow your car away without out notice and don’t find out the situation. Towed my car off of private property (our condo building) and I was in a handicap spot. I put up my placard up but it must have fallen to the floor unknowingly . So instead of getting in touch, they just took it and charged me $160 to get it out of impound.

I was parked correctly, on private property, for less than an hour.
Here is the reason I was given for why it was towed. "Your registration is expired". When I proved that my registration was in fact NOT expired and that I had the proper registration, insurance, and a valid license I was then told, "Well your sticker is expired". To which my response was that there is no Florida Statute requiring that renewal stickers have to be displayed on the issued plate. In fact, if you read the statutes that are listed with your registration renewal you will see very clearly that the only Florida Statute that is listed, in regards to registration and the sticker, is 320.0605 FS "...requires that the registration certificate, or true copy of a rental or lease agreement, issued for any motor vehicle to be in the possession of the operator or carried in the vehicle while the vehicle is being used or operated on roads in this state." Not to mention that the original statute, 320.08056(8)(a), clearly states, "with each license plate, a validation sticker shall be issued showing the owners birth month, license plate number, and the year of expiration...the validation sticker shall be placed on the upper right hand corner of the license plate" meaning that the only sticker that is required to be displayed is the original sticker that is issued TO VALIDATE the original registration of the plate. Not renewal. When I confronted Universal Towing with this information they said it didn't matter because they have a contract with the Apartment Complex. To which I responded that the apartment complex has a contract (lease) with its tenants that clearly outlines the parking guidelines and says that ANY vehicle that is parked on their lot with an invalid registration sticker will have a 24-hour notice to move or correct the violation. No such notice was issued because I was there for LESS THAN AN HOUR. *Extortion* the practice of obtaining something, ESPECIALLY MONEY, through force or threats
