1 starUnresponsive, do not follow through. Use Generac contractors for Kohler installations. Placed generator 2/10/25. Started generator 5/20/25, with a Generac technician and it was wired wrong. Blew out all of my fuses, tankless water heater and garage door opener. Finally resolved w/my own vendors. As of 7/9/25, I still do not have the monitoring device. Neither the Installation or Project Manager returns calls.Reliable Services

We would like to thank Mrs. ******* for her feedback and the opportunity to address her concerns.
Mrs. ********* project was successfully completed in May 2025. During the installation, we experienced an electrical issue that unfortunately caused damage to one of her panels and certain household equipment. We take full responsibility for the inconvenience caused and responded with urgency. The same day the issue was reported, we dispatched a certified and experienced electrician who promptly restored power to her home.
In an effort to ensure all affected systems were thoroughly checked and any damages fully addressed, our project manager coordinated additional inspections with reputable third-party contractors. A garage door specialist and a local plumber were each contacted and arrived at Mrs. ******** residence within 24 hours. Throughout this process, the project manager made three separate visits to personally oversee the repair work and ensure that it met our standards of quality and professionalism.
We would like to clarify that our team maintained consistent and timely communication with Mrs. ******** The project manager remained accessible during the day and even responded to her calls after 9:00 PM on several occasions to provide support. Screenshots of the communication history have been documented to demonstrate our responsiveness and willingness to address any concerns.
Mrs. ******** statement that she was required to find her own contractor is inaccurate. All necessary repair work was managed and paid for directly by Reliable, and we took every possible step to resolve the issue without placing any burden on the customer. Additionally, her claim that we use Generac technicians to service Kohler generators is incorrect. All of our technicians are cross-trained and certified to work on both Generac and Kohler generators.
Regarding the remote monitoring device, we would like to note that Mrs. ******* is enrolled in our standard membership plan, which does not include this device. She has not previously inquired about or opted to purchase one. We are happy to assist her should she wish to explore this option moving forward.
As a goodwill gesture and in recognition of the inconvenience caused, we provided Mrs. ******* with two additional years of free generator servicing. In addition, we have applied a $100.00 discount to her membership fee for each renewal year going forward.
We understand how frustrating it can be when something in your home is disrupted. That is why we acted swiftly, took full accountability, and worked diligently to ensure that all issues were properly resolved to Mrs. ******** satisfaction. We remain committed to excellent service and stand behind the actions taken by our project manager and team.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond. We remain available to support Mrs. ******* and hope to continue serving her in the future.

1 starHad a generator installed, everything went smoothly. We lost power a few times and the generator did what it should and turned on. Here is where the problem starts....my carbon monoxide alarm went off and we called them about this. They came and "fixed" it but our electricity went out again and same issue.....carbon monoxide alarm, again, went off. They came on July 5th to investigate and we have not heard anything since...I tried to fix the problem, and may have, but other vents need to be corrected...the gentleman who came told me " they are not carpenters". I suggested they may have placed the generator in an area that was not safe. Sorry, but that is not acceptable. This is a very serious issue. Still waiting for a fix.Review fromDavid R

1 starReliable is NOT so Reliable. They pre qualified us, for a whole house generator, and that we would pay cash. We waited three weeks, I even confirmed the automated confirmation, took off the time from work, and they did not show up. I called them twice, and the first time after waiting several minutes, the line went dead. I called back, only to learn that the sales man was sick and they "SAY" they reached out to me, however this is not accurate or true. They waisted my time and lost a very good customer and they clearly are not **********************.Reliable Services

Our company made an executive decision to no longer service the ***** area, and we emailed all of our existing customers in April 2024 to let them know. 1 starThis company installed my generator 10 years ago, and I continued using them for a yearly maintenance/monitoring plan, but the quality of their service began to go downhill to the point where the generator would not start, and they would not call me. As it is, the pricing of their maintenance plan was above many others. Now, upon renewal, I complained about the lack of service, and they informed me that they would no longer cover my area, I contracted with another company, closer to me, and more affordable.Review fromorlando h.

1 starThere is a systemic problem with Reliable Power System, which should really change its name to UNRELIABLE Power System. If you review the numerous filed complaints on this BBB stie as well as others i.e. ******* Yelp etc.. you will find the same horrible consumer stories repeated over and over again. My story is no different, starting with the Incompetence by their technicians, the numerous No Call/No Shows of Appointments, Ghost Writing and pencil whipping reports written by their techs, their lack of customer communication by their so called ***************** attempted extortion, and complete dishonesty , coupled with their fraudulent practices. After ***************************************************************************************************************** fact, my truth to words backed up with facts, unfortunately proved too much for them to handle and therefore they decided to cancel my PM contract (another scam). I would strongly echo several of the other consumers comments indicating to STAY AWAY, DO NOT WALK, BUT RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN from this company.Reliable Services

2 starsRecently, my battery on my Generac went bad and it shut down my back-up system.It took nearly three week to get a tech to come out and replace it. The window of his arrival time was from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. He finally shows up at 4:30! Before he does any thing, he wants a sum $287.73 before he sets foot on my property. A two minute voltage test confirmed the bad battery which he refitted pretty quickly. The battery's price was $222.53. That same battery costs about $110 at BJ's or ****************** call I believe is an excessive amount and coupled to a 100% mark up on the battery for a total of $510.26 is EXCESSIVE! Yes, inflation is here but you folks have gone too far! Based on your greedy pumped up charges above reason, I cannot recommend to others to whom I have previously done.Review fromBruce B

1 starRUN! DO NOT WORK WITH RELIABLE POWER SYSTEMS!!! I would give zero stars if it were an option.I am at a loss. My husband and I met with ************************* several months back. He was professional and persistent when signing a contract with Reliable. He was always available; if he didn't answer his phone, he would call back shortly. He called weekly for almost one month to seal the deal. When they came up with reasonable financing options, we signed and were excited to start the process.We were connected to ************************* @ *********** He, too, was always available and quick to respond. However, once everything was signed and financed, we hardly heard back about any progress for our job. I texted weekly constantly to get the same answer... "let me follow up" or "Let me see what's going on.".... After six-plus weeks of babysitting, I'd had enough and asked for a manager's name and let them know we were canceling our Generac install. After another week of being promised **** would call (he didn't), I was given ********************* phone number, and he proved not helpful either. I had to leave several voice and text messages until he finally called me back. His answer was, "I was told it was handled." It wasn't, and you don't call the customer back?! I received an email last week stating they had issued a full refund, only to find out we were charged $800! This is wild. We've had ZERO communication from ************* (again, who both were VERY communicative before signing a contract). No work has been completed. No one has been out to our home. No updates were provided. How are you going to charge us? I have since left at least eight messages at their corporate office (with humans), and SURPRISE! I am still waiting to receive a phone call. I will not go away. I will get the sheriff's office involved if need be. 5 starsI just had a ***** Link installed on the generator. They had an issue getting it to work at the time of installation. I received a follow-up email from them and then tried to use the app to finish the installation. It didn't work. I called Reliable and, as usual, they answer the phone right away and got back to me quickly. They even had the Service Mgr, ******, get on the phone to help clear up the issue and resolve my confusion.Bottom line is that they were very responsive and helped resolve the problem in a timely fashion.
