BUYER BEWARE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My wife & I had just moved into our home in Deland and had a representative (Jose R********) come out in mid-May to give us a quote on sodding the backyard. We discussed what type of sod (St Augustine), doing a light grading of the yard (previous owner just had dirt with numerous low spots) and if I was going to install a sprinkler system (I told Jose I was not). Quote was for $3630.55 and sod was laid 2 weeks later. Almost immediately began to see dead spots which got larger & larger over time. I reached out to the company (Millie was my contact in the office) as well as Jose (who had done the installation) and was told to make sure I was watering the lawn enough. The dead areas continued to expand, and I continued to call and text both Millie & Jose who responded by texting me an online brochure about watering my lawn TOO MUCH. I continued to call and text as half the lawn was now dead and Jose agreed to come out in August and applied a fertilizer telling me "This would make everything green". It did nothing and the lawn continued to die. At this point, Jose & Millie began to dodge my calls & texts with Jose telling me there was no guarantee because I didn't install an irrigation system. This was the first time this had been brought to my attention. My last communication was with Jose who said he was going to come out to rake & seed the yard (don't think you can seed with St Augustine). He never showed up and neither Jose or Millie has returned my calls or texts.

My response to the complaint case #********,
The complaint I received on December 1st, 2022 from ***** ***** who was not satisfied with the sod installation he had received, he was quoted with estimates on May 14th, 2022, and the removal and installation were done on May 23rd and 24th, 2022. In the complaint, it was described the sod had died out, the sod used was St. Augustine which is maintained and considered moderate maintenance which needs frequent watering and up to 1 inch of water each week while taking rainfall into consideration. As told to the buyer *****, irrigation was needed to maintain St. Augustine sod which I had discussed with the homeowner ***** at the estimate meeting and he had stated the sod would be maintained by a water hose by the homeowner, and after careful consideration and speaking with the homeowner he insisted on having St. Augustine sod after knowing the risks of maintaining the sod, so we as a company in giving homeowners satisfaction of receiving of what they desire we went along and installed the sod that the homeowner had requested after knowing the knowledge and risks of the sod being placed. After installation, on July 18th, 2022 our team went out to check out the lawn for no monetary compensation/ free of charge and applied soil feed to the affected areas which resulted in the customer being satisfied. A month later on August 17th, 2022 our team received a text message from the homeowner with a picture message of the lawn and demanding our next steps, the same day my team replied back with a message stating he was overwatering his grass and a link to show the signs of overwatering his lawn, the homeowner replied stating he watered the grass for 30 minutes in the morning and evening and hasn't watered at all in the past 10 days and stating to see action from us, on August 23rd, 2022 we messaged the homeowner that we will be out there to check it out, when we arrived to the home we were addressed by the homeowners wife ***** and she insisted that we were to speak with the husband after we already had spoken with him, and we had discussed with her husband ***** that I will be doing seed dispersals, but since her husband was not home she insisted for me to not do any work until we speak with *****, I then proceeded to call ***** to which he did not answer, this was the second time free of charge with no monetary compensation and time I had taken to address this situation, yet I was turned away for lack of communication between husband and wife, I then informed the ***** that I was leaving the residence since I was not able to get into contact with *****. On August 25th, 2022 he sent a text message stating how his wife informed him of our team's appearance and demanded we come out a 3rd time, at this point in time my team had exhausted all measures and felt we had gone above and beyond to cater this customer's needs by taking time out of our schedules for no monetary compensation and still being slandered which is out of our control since the customer was notified since day one of the risks of not having irrigation and how it did not come with a warranty for the installation of St. Augustine sod.
