    On Friday 8/16/24 my wife and reluctantly decided to try Positano's Pizza again even though we've had terrible service and sub par food there before. I had purchased a discount card from our local high school ( Deland ) football team with many restaurants offering discounts. Our waiter brought our bill at the end of the meal. I placed the discount card in the black folder that the bill comes in along with my debit card. When he returned the bill, there was no discount given which should have been 10% and my discount card was missing. I didn't care so much about the discount but wanted my card back. I got up and went to the waiter to ask about my card which he denied any knowledge of. So, I asked the owner who was standing there about it. They spoke to each other in Italian and the waiter pulled the card out of his pocket. The extremely rude and nasty owner got mad at me for asking about the discount and why the waiter stole my card. He reached in the register and threw $3.00 on the counter and tore my discount card in half and threw it down and walked away. I stopped him and asked what's wrong with you? Why did you just tear up my personal property? I paid $20.00 for that card. He didn't care one bit. So, not only did he not question his waiter for STEALING but was mad at me for using that card. I'm sorry but that is illegal and extremely terrible customer service. I've never seen a business owner act like this. When I walked out of the restaurant, the owner was standing in the kitchen shooting me a bird which I returned the gesture. I was going to call the police but decided that I will call DeLand High on Monday morning. I was born and raised in this town and trust me when I say EVERYONE I know will hear about this experience from this owner who has no business operating a restaurant in this town or dealing with the public. Positano is run by a dishonest hot tempered *****. As a business owner myself, there is never a excuse to act so unprofessionally as he did.
