    We contracted with Polk City Sod on 9/14/23 to complete a landscaping job. Job would start 9/19/23 and be completed on 9/26/23. We added drainage for both sides of house figuring it would be done by beginning of October. He came for the first full week every day and then sporadically thereafter and finally he developed a no call-no show work ethic. We consistently reached out to him and rarely did he answer. When he did, he made promises that were rarely kept. His workers actually laid our sod knowing it was incorrect. He told us he would fix it to our satisfaction, but he never returned. The drainage was complete, plants/trees in, border wall not satisfactorily done, and owes us for supplies we paid for but didn't receive. We have tried since 11/29/23, when he last responded to a text from **, to get ahold of him. We sent emails/texts and even a priority letter to his address, a PO Box which was refused. I called the business, and they said his box expired on 2/21/24.*It has now been almost 6 months since we contracted with him. No communication with us at all has been made.*We paid $9,553.25 *We are asking for a refund of $2678.80 for supplies not received and cost of goods/labor too fix front lawn. He accepted our deposits but never ordered or purchased supplies until he was actually going to do the work.*We are the ones who initiated contact with him; he never called/showed. When he did it was for a few hours only. Not reliable after the first week.*Tried to reach him at an alternate # ************ (Wife's) - goes to voice mail and at ********************** no response. We were patient as he worked through trouble with his daughter, and lack of workers. Then HE JUST UP AND LEFT WITHOUT NOTICE. One worker had told us he didn't manage jobs well. He made a good sell and actually did nice work putting in our plants however, it went downhill after the first week. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but look where being nice got us. Please help!
