***** Hayes measured the job on July 12, 2024.***** quoted the job (complete new metal roof on my barn) at $3300.I paid ***** Hayes 50% down, $1650, on July 13th at my business so that he could "purchase the materials". Never saw him again.I needed a new metal roof put on my barn. Hurricane season was approaching and I didn't want my items that were stored in the barn to get wet and damaged. I met the scammer through a mutual friend. Scammer came to my property on July 12th, 2024 and measured the square footage of the barn roof so that he could order the materials. He told me he needed half the money up front to purchase the materials. I paid him 50% ($1650) so that he could do so on July 13th, 2024. It's been slightly over six months now and he has never been back to do the job. He only answers my texts after I send multiple inquiries, but the answers are always another excuse to drag it out longer (parents died, dog died, sick kid, covid etc, etc...). This guy either has the worst luck in the world (which I foolishly assumed) or he's just endlessly stringing me along and in the meantime doing other jobs. Obviously has to be the latter because we all have to pay the bills. Which means after six months and a total no-show, he stole my money.
