Payment was made to BARATO USA COURRIER ************ on 10/21/24 to transport boxes from ***** to **********, *********. the packages were insured for up to $2,500. The boxes arrived a month ago and now they are being held up in ********* for an additional payment of $160 to release the boxes. This was not previously discussed nor charged at the time of payment. The service provider is refusing to take responsibility for the service and not turning over the boxes until this new amount is paid. This is a violation of the original agreement and extortion.

Good morning, we are grateful to answer all of our customers' concerns. We send a receipt to the customer once they deliver the merchandise to our offices. This receipt clearly states that the company is not responsible for the time it takes to process the merchandise in *********, much less for the tariffs charged on merchandise imported into another country. We notify customers that these changes may occur, and the customer accepts the terms and conditions of the maritime shipping service offered by registering.

Although the person who filed the complaint is not listed on the receipt, we send information about the person who filed the invoice, who accepted the terms of service, and the email address where the information was sent.

I am rejecting this response because: there was no notice given of any additional fees to be paid at the time of delivery when the order was placed. Furthermore, the same agency correspondent in ********* decided to lower their price to retrieve the boxes since the original complaint but still is refusing to honor the original amount paid as a total cost.

      Sincerely,

The terms and conditions of each shipment are included in all receipts to the email ********************** We invite you to speak with the account holder, ************** *****, so she can send you ALL the emails in which the terms and conditions are explicitly stated under each invoice.

For example, the maximum insured value is $100 if the customer does not purchase additional insurance (point 5.5).

Shipping times and nationalization costs are not the company's responsibility (point 8.2).

The customer can send them the more than 30 emails they may have received from our company, where we ALL refer to the policies (since they arrive on each receipt).

We reiterate that these terms are stated before registering all our customers and are re-sent and reminded on all receipts, both at the time of delivery of the shipment and at the various tracking points in the system.

We are sending you again the link where the customer (who is not the person making the complaint) registered, read, and accepted our company's terms and conditions. LINK: ******************************************************************

If the customer does not accept these terms, he/she will not be able to register an account with us or make any type of transaction.

We understand that the situation may be frustrating, but the amounts allocated for nationalization fees are not dependent on BARATO USA COURRIER *************

*************************************** ******* ******************************************************************************* **************************** ************** I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against the company Barato en USA, located at **************************************************************************************On May 25, 2024, I rented a vehicle from this company under my name, *************************************** *******, with reservation number 2749 and invoice number 2089. When returning the vehicle on June 2, 2024, I was informed of an alleged damage to the car's bumper, for which I was charged half of a deductible, amounting to $750 USD.I wish to state that the damage already existed at the time I received the vehicle, as evidenced by the videos I took at that moment. However, the company insisted that the damage was new and that there was additional damage over the existing one. They proceeded to charge me coercively under the threat of involving the police, despite having no clear evidence to support their claim. To avoid missing my flight back to my country, a situation that was fully known to the Barato en USA employee, I agreed to pay the unjustly charged amount.Attached to this letter are photos extracted from the videos clearly showing that the damage was already present when the vehicle was handed over to me, as well as the receipt for the $750 USD charge and a photo of the contract.Despite my repeated attempts to communicate with the company to resolve this issue and request evidence from their photographic records, I have received no official response. On June 5, I sent a letter to the company's email and WhatsApp, but only received a response via WhatsApp on June 11, stating that the insurer's lawyer would contact me or my lawyer within two days. However, this did not happen.I formally request your entity's intervention to investigate this case and to refund the unjustly charged amount. I appreciate your attention and support in resolving this matter.

These people rent cars in *******, they don't even have an office. They have hidden fees, they are charging absurd amounts. I have all the conversations captured, the person who attends is extremely rude and rude. He is charging $400 for something that was never in the contract (the contract was never sent to me) they forced my daughter to pay the deposit with a credit card (since I did not have a credit card and the other option was to pay by ***** and I was afraid of being scammed MORE) and for that reason they are charging more money because they take it as an additional driver. They make me go to the ***************************** (where they don't have a branch) and wait 3 hours for the car that a guy brought me even without identification. you should investigate this company their sunbiz id is: Document Number L21000193303

they make additional charges for things not requested, they ask that payments be made via zelle so as not to give an invoice or keep records and not be able to claim the bank to return the money.
