    On April 28, 2023 I was purchasing a Littmann III classic stethoscope. The price listed on the box from an in-house label was $104.99, the quotes price from an earlier call according to the cashier *****, was $104. Only after I had committed to buying the item was I informed that they had committed a mistake and and the price had actually gone up to $124.99. I told the sales person that the price had both been quoted and then reiterated as being $104.99 per the price tag. He stated he could not honor the price even though it was listed.

    Hi, 

    **************** only wrote a bad review on our ****** page but did not list anyway to contact him, nor did he try to reach out to the store manager or upper management regarding this matter. The employee that did not process the transaction properly was unaware of how to make the adjustment as they were a new employee. The issue has already been addressed to the employee who took full responsibility of not taking the issue to upper management, however **************** did not leave any way of communication so we could be in touch with him. The prices of the stethoscope in question did go up nationwide for all retailers and the one **************** purchased just happened to have been missed in the retagging process and showed the outdated pricing. I would have instructed the employee to honor the price on the attached tag, but they did not reach out when **************** was in the store. This is an invalid BBB complaint as the customer did not do their due diligence on their end to try to reach out to anyone from our company. We have a website that he could have reached out to, our phone number is on the receipt, we also have a ******** page or he could have left some contact information through ****** and we would have promptly addressed it and corrected a simple mistake by a fairly new employee.     I am rejecting this response because:
    *************************, business operator, places the blame on his employee, and states that it is my responsibility to deal with his professional shortcomings of increasing product price army check out.

    He states I wrote a bad review and left no means of communicating. In previous negative reviews there have been exchanges in communication between customer and owner; such as 6 months ago in a response to a ***************************,  who wrote a bad review: Hi ******, We apologies that. Owner made no attempt to contact me for an error that occurred at his business. 

    in regards to the price of the stethoscope going up nationally; the price was marked on the product with the companys very own label. Failure to honor his own price shows a lack of honor in his business dealings. Furthermore, ************************* shows a general disregard for clientele by trying to place the blame on me and downplaying my complaint, This is an invalid BBB complaint as the customer did not do their due diligence on their end to try to reach out to anyone from our company.; ****** the employee I spoke to is part of your company, your ****** store posting is part of your company.

    I literally said in the response we would, (and will), have adjusted the price and corrected the error and yes the error was on the employee, they were trained on how to make adjustments but they are so few are far between it's not a regular occurrence to remember the proper way to do it and the employee did fail to reach out to management if they had questions or concerns, but they also failed in doing that, so yes, a lot of it falls on the employee which they owned and took responsibility for and know what to do if a situation like this arrises. I would still adjust the price. Yes, I could have responded to the negative review, however, that is still no direct way to reach you in regards to fixing the error. I've never had any issues with the BBB in over 12 years of doing business so I believe I've upheld being responsible to my business and our customers very well in those 12 years. Again, I said in my response on the BBB that we would fix it, that's exactly what you want, so you responding in that way is an issue beyond us fixing the $20 difference.
