    This Showball Showcase costs 4-5 times as much as most showcases. By implementing a profit boosting unfriendly refund policy, this business is able to take advantage of its customers without repercussions and does just that. My son attended the *********** showcase on Oct 5, 2024. Being a pitcher, his first day consisted of standing in the Sun for 2 hours while he watched the activities of position players, followed by ******** ***** for another 2 hours. On the second day, the day that mattered for pitchers, it was clearly a rain-out, raining steady all day (see weather history). All baseball tournaments in the rain-exposed areas of central and ******** were postponed. My son was scheduled to pitch at 6pm in front of coaches. His metrics and coach exposure were what we were paying for ($1,395 + travel expenses), but day 2 was rained out rained out as Hurricane ****** approached. Showball made the kids play in the rain, a condition that cannot evaluate pitchers properly. Visibility and the grip of the ball matter greatly. To not postpone or give the pitchers a voucher for a future event was plain robbery and a disrespectful business practice. Kind attempts were made via email for issuance of a voucher/credit for a future one-day showcase. Requests were ignored. Showcase made their money and that seems to all that matters, not the kids as they claim.
