Wayne told me that the cam position sensor for my bike was obsolete, said he couldn't get it anywhere and has a guy custome make them. I went on line and found plenty available. I called Harley D. and they have them in stock. Upon 3 different occasions Wayne gave me estimates and all 3 times charged me more than given estimate. I believe he's a crook for the prices he's charged me. I won't go back! Oh and to top it off He calls me to come pick up my bike and then leaves, closes shop knowing that I was on the way. Unprofessional!!!

First off thank you BBB for the opportunity to reply within 3 days. The motorcycle in question is 24 years old carburated Road King and this particular design uses a faulty ignition system that was omitted after less than 2 years ( Carburated models 99-00). Discontinuation of this design in late 00' due to the rate of failure and less than optimal performance. So in the late 2000s Harley stopped producing these ignitions that required a key component called a Cam Position sensor on ALL carburated models in turn making the whole ignition system obsolete as far as performance and reliability. Here at our shop we frequently run into this issue with these 23-24-year-old machines. Here at our shop, we replace the 23-year-old antiquated systems with current and up-to-date technology. In fact improving RELIABILITY PERFORMANCE and SAFETY.
Mr. ****** was made aware of the benefit of this upgrade as well as the cost. Mr. ****** left a deposit for the parts and we began work.
We go over all components needed to complete the job and they are as follows
    1. New and up-to-date electronic control module
    2. Install a new crank position sensor
    3. A new up-to-date wiring supply harness that adapts old to new
    4. This particular bike was leaking fuel and the petcock was replaced for obvious safety reasons
    5. The elimination of the old designed cam sensor(no longer needed!)

All of the repairs were completed and taken for a test ride and performed flawlessly.
During the repair process and systems check the battery was weak and failing.
We installed a new battery before delivery. That 209.00 dollar battery was the only item not on the estimate.

The day the repairs were completed we placed a call to Mr. ****** and in our conversation, I made Mr. ****** aware that I had a very important appointment myself and would have to leave at 4 pm sharp. Mr. ****** was given the option to pick up his motorcycle that same day Friday by closing 4 PM or the following day. Mr. ****** called late in the day to say he was on his way I reaffirmed my need to be out of the shop at 4 pm sharp and was assured he would make it. I made myself late by staying til 10 after 4. As I apologize for my tardiness my outdoor camera notifications recorded Mr. ******s' arrival at 4:30. He then called leaving an irritate message on the shop machine. Saturday Mr. ****** came into the shop and was thrilled with the work that was completed. We offered him all of the old parts as we do with each and every client in this particular instance he did not want any of it and we will be happy to dispose of it for him. Mr. ****** seemed more aggravated by the fact the transmission in his wife's vehicle went out.

If you take the time to fully read the complaint lodged by Mr. ****** He doesn't make mention of the performance of the motorcycle.
It's confusing because we parted on a great note. Mr. ****** and I have been doing business since 2015.

    Sincerely
