    ***************** came to our house for estimate after hurracaine *** damage. We accepted his contract. He wanted 50% down on contract and promised to start few days later. We gave him a check, 50% down, on 1/7/2023. He cashed immediately. He never came to our property to do the work or refused to send the money back. We had multiple correspondence with **** regarding returning the money back or coming back to our property to do the work. All attempts were unsuccessful. We still don't have our 50% deposit back . He had no intention coming back. We had not seen him since the date we gave him the deposit. Please help us solve this nightmare.

    The owner of the business excepted the task of building my back roof/pergola. He came over and took measurements and gave me an estimate. He asked for a deposit and I gave it to him in cash that day. He said he was going to get the required materials and start that next week. The next week came and he never showed. I texted called and texted him. No response. At this point with no work and no responses I just want my money back so I can move forward with someone who is actually going to do the job. He finally responded a few different times saying he has the money and is going to give it back to me but it has been two weeks now and I still dont have it.
