We hired Caceres Construction for all renovation and plumbing work for your house on November 7 2022. The total cost was approximately $82K, that included $15.5K for sewer replacement work. After moving back to the house on February 1, 2023, we started experiencing plumbing back *** in the guest bathroom. We attributed this to other factors. With the problems continuing and having no results from the unprofessional plumbing subcontractor (******************), for which Caceres was fully aware, we were desperate to get this matter addressed. We hired a third party (Rotto Router), a reputable plumbing company to provide a non-biased evaluation. They found that the new sewer work was installed with a negative pitch. That was part one of what was causing the back***. Additionally, and to our shock, the sewer line was installed contrary to best practices by going around the house instead straight down to the city pipes. We kept Caceres informed throughout the additional work and noted to Caceres that we would discuss the corrective work once everything was installed correctly. With the corrective work completed, we followed up with Caceres and we asked to discuss the extra cost. The answer was we did not agree or authorize this work. Were we to continue to wait longer than 3 months to get this resolved? Or wait until Caceres could fit us into their schedule and then deal with the rude and unreliable plumbing sub? We asked, (a) why were the new sewer pipes laid out incorrectly with the negative pitch under the Caceres supervision? Lack of experience? Indifference? No answer. (b) Why were the new sewer lines allowed to be installed below industry standard? No answer. The only response has been "we did not agree or authorize this work". We are filing complaints to recoup the expense. The total for the Rotto Router corrective work was $11K.
