    I am filing a formal complaint against Restoration 1 for deceptive and unethical practices. They never explained the costs or the recent changes in insurance coverage, leaving me blindsided by a $3,000 bill. They were brought in by a plumbing company without my knowledge or consentespecially distressing since I was already grieving the loss of my husband and my dog within same month.When I tried discussing a payment plan, their representative was rude and dismissive. Hoping for a better outcome, I spoke with the manager, who gave me the most heartless response imaginable: We dont care what happened before, during, or after our installation. We demand you to pay the $3,000 or we will put you into collections! She then threatened me with a letter claiming I owed $11,000 unless I paid in 10 days. Even after explaining I had canceled the original check and was issuing a new one, I was called a liar and given no chance to clarify.A public adjuster was appalled, explaining that some companies charge $300 per machine per dayand this often leads to inflated bills. Restoration 1s track record confirms their predatory nature; they have a 1-star rating, and if zero stars were possible, theyd qualify. I immediately fired them and informed the plumbing company, who said I was the second ****** that same day to complain about Restoration 1s ************ my view, Restoration 1 should be shut down. They exploit vulnerable customers through deceit and unethical behavior. Stay away!
