I was promised a lifetime engine/ power tain warranty from the dealership I purchased my RAM 1500 from as long as I got all my oil changes done at an affiliated Dodge/Chrysler/Mopar location. Even though I had all my records and receipts turned in, my claim was denied on a technicality and when I called to to give them more info they blamed me for my vehicle and denied my claim. I took my vehicle to ******** in ******** ** for an oil change and told them I had an engine light on for a cylinder 3 misfire( P0300). The dealership told me that I would have to have them do the diagnostic for 250 and it would take them at least 3 days before they could get to it let alone fix it. I wasn't offered a loaner vehicle and I have a newborn at home so I couldn't be without transportation since I'm going back and forth to appointments for my wife/child. So I declined their service. Since I was an aircraft mechanic in the military I figured changing a coil would be simple. Switching out the coil caused the light to go off and when it came back I took it to a repair shop by my house. They said the coil was good but the cylinder had low compression from a bad seal. The warranty company told me that since there was a gap of 300 miles from the time of service denile to bringing it the shop by my house. They told me that there were several things I could have done from getting a loaner vehicle (dealership said no) to not having to pay for the diagnostic fee. To that I responded that when I had a similar issue at the same dealership less than 2 years ago they did not cover the diagnostic fee and I had to pay out of pocket and was never reimbursed they said that there's still no excuse for the 300miles between the drop off even though it wasn't since my fix worked temporarily and when my CEL came back on I took it to a liscensed repair shop. As a veteran and first responder I can not describe how disappointed I am at how they talked to and treated me. Anything to not pay I guess
