    Called 5 star on July 5th 2024 about an air conditioner problem we were having. We were advised that they had no openings during regular time but if i wanted to pay an extra $199.00 they could get me in that day. I agreed to the extra charge. **** arrived at 6:16 advised me the drain was backed up and he would have to clean the drain, he vacuumed out the drain. Was not told there was an extra charge. I checked later that evening and in fact it was cooling. I had a renter call me on July 13th about the air conditioner not cooling. Called 5 star again at 7:30 Pm no answer had to leave a message. I called again at 8:16 Pm again no answer. I had to tell the renters that there was no one coming since I did not receive a call back. I did not get a call back until the next day July 14th at 9Am. Was told a technician would be there between 10 and 11 am. Technician arrived at 11:25 Am and advised me that the breaker was tripped to the condenser on the roof. He reset the breaker and the system was running , no water in the drain pan. i asked him if the back up water switch was turning off the system or just the condenser, he advised me it was just turning off the condenser. I advised him the reason the breaker was tripped was probably due to the drain backing up and tripping the system on and off quickly. He told me that he cleared the drain with nitrogen and it was draining properly. We have not had a problem since. I called the office to explain that I did not feal it was right I was charged $399.00 for a drain cleaning from the 1st technician and he did not do it right. I was told the office manager would have to call me back. Se did and I explained that I did not feal it was right that i had to pay over $750.00 for a job that was not done properly the 1st time. She told me that they could take off $200.00 off the bill. I don't feal that is right I asked foe $400.00 the cost of the repair, I was advised she would have to contact the owner. I have not heard back.
