    We lived at the Vive in *************** for over a year with no issues. Our lease ended in june of 2023 and we had to move out early due to my husbands work moving him to *******. We gave our notice to move at the end of March and told them we would be moving out April 14th. When signing the intent to vacate paperwork with the former manager ******, she stated not to worry about the early termination fee. Both my husband and i clarified with her and she stated again "not to worry about it". At the beginning of April we paid our rent for 2 weeks and on the portal there was no brokwn lease charge added to the account. My husband and i assumed the charge wasnt added like ****** stated and we moved out without any trouble. After a month of living in ******* i reached out to **** in the leasing office to see where are deposit was since we had not recieved it yet. She stated that she would look into it. I then got a text from her saying it looked like ****** had just "closed out our account" and she was looking to get it resolved. We then waited another month and reached out AGAIN to **** and she asked if we had paid the fee. I explained the situation and she said "okay ill update everything on my end". We continued to call every month and was told since they had a new manager they could not look into our account. Finally **** reached out saying we had to pay the early termination fee in order to get our deposit.. months after we have already moved out. The now mangager ** reached out and said we not only owed the termination fee but said we didnt pay our last month rent.. which we did! She said she also couldnt handle the account any longer because to much time had passed. She gave me a corporate number to call to disput the charges, and though i have a called on multiple occasions and left messages no one has gotten back to me.
