  This is a total RIP OFF company to capitalize on others misfortune. I get a company wants to make money BUT to charge double than other companies charge. PLUS I was contacting Gulf Coast Locksmith but to sign a document that says Budget Locksmith of Lake Placid and now reading this post they are also called Discount Locksmith.   Absolutely terrible!! Moved into our new house and needed new keys. Called Gulf coast locksmith. Tech came out and said, because its in a hurricane grade door it will be $800. I gave a $300 deposit. Only receipt was my bank statement. Said he needed to order parts and would be out to replace locking mechanism when the parts came in. This was 5 months ago. We called asking for our deposit back and they refused. They have since blocked my #. Beware, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will steal from you, rip you off, and ghost you.

  Upon losing my apartment key and not being able to get in my abode, I called for assistance. I was told that the price would be discussed upon the technician's arrival. The technician stated that it would be an easy job as he immediately began to work on the lock. After several attempts, he was able to get the door open. No other "products" were necessary. No price was discussed as quoted upon calling. It was during non-emergency hours. I was told the service would be 150$. I found that ridiculous; however, still paid it. I received no receipt. The only "receipt" is my bank statement. I signed no work order and my identity was never verified for the address. My conclusion is the conduct of this business is extremely questionable and has no scruples. The fee was, by far, astronomical as well as the lack of professional requirements to fulfil a quote promise, to offer a hard receipt/work order with my signature, and to verify the address for requested service. Shotty business. The young gentleman that assisted was very kind and congenial; however, my suspicion is he wasn't trained properly for the details of this business. Thank you.

  The original charge was 225$,it's was on Saturday and you called us to unlock your business.you complain that we didn't told you the price over the phone and because of that you got discount of 75$.the price that you been charge it's very Decent price.we send you the invoice again yesterday!!you have no reason to continue with your complaints.

  First of all, I am not a business, I'm a person who called about my home. I called you yesterday and you told me the lie that you approved the 150 charge to your employee before he charged me the 150. We'll, unless you are bothe telepathic, that would be impossible seeing as your employee never spoke to you seeing as I was with him the entire time. You also stated he was supposed to verify that I was who I said I was. Never asked for ID of any kind. I'm guessing your insurance provider might be interested in hearing that, if you even carry insurance. I'm also filing a complaint with Florida Department of Consumer affairs. Your made up pricing for a 5 minute job should be criminal, you should be ashamed of yourself, and your, ahem, company.

  With all the respect you can check with every other companies and to see that the price that you paid it's Decent price.I already spoke to you over the phone and explained to you about your complain.and you choose to continue to complain here at BBB.it's not about 5 minutes job,it's about 10 years experience.but you know?I think even if we was tell you 20$ you will continue to complain!!
  My technician already told me about your attitude and you continue with that here.I am sorry about your feeling but again you can check about the charge that was super fair!

  Look at your reviews here my friend, I'm certainly not the only one on here that has a complaint about the way your company conducts business. I did check with other's they quoted charges of 75.00 to 100.00 dollars on a Saturday afternoon for a simple lockout as they referred to it. You are the reason your industry needs to be regulated. Don't worry, I'll look up your insurance provider and let them know about your company not even asking about ID. I'm also going to continue with my complaint with the State of Florida. Thank you very little.

  You can check what ever you want to check I have no problem with that.and you know what?let's do something like that,i will send charity of 100$ to any organization that you choose but not refund to you because it's very normal price on Saturday afternoon.what do you think about that?
  By the way I checked on you and I see that you complain about a lot of companies not only on me.

  You know what, I'm not going to waste anymore of my time responding to a liar like you. You'll send to charity???? Just like you never sent all the other refunds to the other complaints. "I thought my office did it" your office is your apartment. More bull***, I'm done with you. Can't wait to hear from the state and what your insurance company has to say. Done!
