Date of the transaction: 11/05/2024 at 1:30pm.The amount paid was $328.The business was committed to unlock my 2017 ****** Sentra. The nature of the dispute is regarding a predatory and deceitful transaction. The business has not attempted to resolve the issue.I called Lee Local Locksmith to unlock my vehicle after accidentally closing the door with the key still inside. After contacting them I was then called by a technician who came to the site around 20 minutes later. It took the technician around 3 minutes to get the car open. When presented the receipt I was prompted to sign it. After signing the receipt the technician took it back and filled it out with the total price. I was never told the price until after signing it. Once I was given it back, there was a total of $328 with a "service call" fee of $89. They didn't accept my credit card and only wanted tender through Zelle. I was under distress because I only had $54 and needed to be home to prepare for work. I asked a friend to transfer the remaining balance. As I made my way back home, I was told by that friend that the amount exceeded the average limit locally. He then called the same company multiple times after seeing the receipt. He got into contact with the technician who did the job named ***** and was told that there is no service call fee. My friend then was told by a representative named **** that there was no service call fee. He requested the supervisor and presented the issue. The supervisor then told him that there is a service call fee.

I contacted this locksmith because my car key fob was not working I was quoted a price over the phone of $179-199. When the technician arrived he determined the fob wasnt working because the car battery was dead He provided access into the car and with my jumper cables I started the car. He then told me that me car fob did not need to be reprogrammed The bill I received had 3 charges on it including $179 for reprogramming even though I questioned him about that and the other charges which one was because the car doors were locked. I was never asked on the phone if the doors were locked and wouldnt it be logically that if I was calling about my car fob not working that the doors are locked ? I should have been asked this on the phone and told that there would be an additional charge for that but I wasnt. This call cost me more than double what I expected to pay. It would have been cheaper to just have my car towed to a repair shop. I thought this company was in good standing based on their 5 star reviews but after and upon further investigation all the review were company created and there were bad reviews stating similar experiences ************ should be held accountable for price gouging and for misleading quoted pricing. Its terrible.
