      On April 5, 2024, a plumber from Next Plumbing came, at my request, to replace a fill valve. He finished the job and the charge was $128. I then asked him to look at a 2nd toilet to see if there was seepage. He concluded there was. Upon looking at the inside of the toilet, he said a major rebuild should be done. I agreed. He then told me a ****** was cracked and needed replacement, I agreed. Total cost for the 2nd toilet turned out to be $932 for a total charge of $1060. (invoice attached). commented this seemed very high for 2 hours of labor. I called the manager, ****, who gave me a list of reasons why this was fair. I asked him to look at the invoice. He said he would and would get back to me. For the next 6 weeks, each week I called to speak with ****. I was told he was in a meeting or on the phone and would get back to me. He never has.Last week a toilet Next Plumbing repaired last November for a bad flapper (the same one that had the fill valve replaced) started to run. I called Next Plumbing and, to their credit, they sent a plumber (the same one that did the work in April) and fixed the chain on the flapper at no charge. I asked this technician to use his phone to tell me what the cost of a major rebuild plus a ****** replacement would cost (see invoice attached). The cost for a major rebuild was $289 and for the ****** $428.The software priced the same jobs differently. I feel I am due a refund of $288.

      On April 5th, 2024, Next Plumbing was called out for a rebuild of a Kohler toilet and to replace the wax ring on a second toilet that was leaking. You were provided with up front pricing, prior to any work being performed.  Upon pulling the second toilet to replace the wax ring, it was discovered that the ****** was cracked and needed to be replaced. It is impossible to know the condition of the ****** without pulling the toilet first. This is stated clearly in our task description when pulling a toilet. Once toilet is removed inspect toilet ****** for cracks or breaks. Additional charges may apply if ****** needs repaired or replaced.  You were once again provided with up front pricing in which you authorized. All repairs were made successfully.
      The initial work performed was at a lower cost as we utilize add on pricing. Once we are already on site performing work, we can offer additional work to be performed at a lower cost to the customer. You then requested a quote on May 14, 2024. In this quote YOU specified you would like an estimate on a ****** replacement and a major rebuild. These prices are higher as we are not utilizing the add on pricing as we were not performing any work that day. The difference of $288 is the cost of pulling the toilet,which was not included on the second quote. You requested these two specific things be quoted and we did as you asked. We were not out there to quote that job as your issues had previously been resolved.
