We ordered a replacement sliding door from Florida Storm Windows. We gave a deposit of $2,500. We were for promised the sliding door was coming for months and months in spite of the 12 weeks we were promised it would take. I have many emails asking for status and no real response. Then ******* who works for company said "by accident" it was never ordered. The Owner after many more calls called me back. He said it was never ordered but that he would put in the order. I waited and once again no information. I called and called, the company was totally ignoring me. I ended up calling another company that not only installed a new sliding door in 4 weeks but had it included under warranty. I want my $2,500 dollars back.Initial Complaint

Tom Greene from Florida Storm windows came to my house after being recommened by a neighbor just after Hurricane Ian. I put down a substantial deposit and was told that the windows would take 7 months to come in and then the job would be scheduled. After 7 months there would be updates that said this were delays getting the windows because of the high demand after Ian and material shortages. I wrote a letter of concern and was promised I was high priority. I continued asking for updates and was told by the scheduler, Bernice D. that Tom was out on the jobs and would call me back, Tom called back initially about the concern and said he made an error on the order which caused further delays. Then he just went silent. They are not even answering calls anymore.Initial Complaint

Soon after Ian went through Ft. Myers we contracted with Florida Storm Windows to install hurricane shutters and two impact glass windows in our condo. We paid a down payment of $6,390.00 on October 20, 2022. There were many delays due to supply issues that we understood as demand for these products escalated. The windows and shutters were finally installed September 29, 2023 and we made the final payment of $6,390.00. Tom G., the owner, was present for about ten minutes to collect the check. He left two installers to finish the window installation. They did not speak English. A week or so later Tom returned for final inspection and noted that we had removed the manufacture's stickers from the windows. He claimed that he told us not remove the stickers but he never mentioned them to my wife and I. We would not have forgot important instructions like that. So now, three and half months later we have no final inspection. Calls to his office are either unanswered or ignored. He will not (WILL NOT) return our phone calls. He has our money and apparently no motivation to complete the project.Initial Complaint

Florida Storm Windows lied to myself and my elderly parents and collected a $5,000 down payment for a service that they promised to do but never did. No windows, no status update and no communication. After many attempts to contact them, ******* said that she gave the message to *** and of course just like everyone else no communication. We are seeking a full refund. The owner and his employee that is telling consumers to hurry up and make the deal because there will be a 10% increase should be criminally investigated. I hope that everyone who is experiencing the same issue files a complaint with your local police department.Initial Complaint

I contracted with ******************* and Florida Storm Windows, Inc. in August of 2022 to provide 2 separate sliding glass windows, to remove and replace my hurricane shutter, and to replace my lanai screens and replace rusted screws on the screen frame. Contract for ****** and I paid him 8,900$ As of Oct. 24, 2023, no work had been completed despite 143 texts, 29 emails, and 61 calls just since July 2023! Most go unanswered unless I threaten him with a complaint or lawsuit. Finally, more than a year later, he responded and took me to AHT to buy the shutters on 9/14/23 and sent me to *** to buy the windows that day. I paid for myself. After much prodding, he had 2 people install the sliders on Oct 25& 26th, 2023. They damaged the elevator that day and the installation was done poorly, and I paid 900 $ to repair the installation. After further threats of lawsuit, he promised to install the shutters at the end of Nov., 2023. This was put off for 2 weeks and then he just left the shutters in my garage and would not install them. I eventually contracted with AHT to install them and they did this on Dec.26, 2023. ******************* promised to pay me back for this installation, but he has not and does not return my calls.I was raised in construction and have also owned and remodeled many apartment buildings over the last 10 years. I have never encountered a worse and more dishonest contractor. *** seemed like a good guy and perhaps he once was. He may not even know what he has become and the stress and hardship that he has placed upon myself and his other clients. I have been more than patient and have given *** and Florida Storm Windows enough time to make things right. I hope my complaint will save others the stress and financial loss that that I have experienced. At this time, I have paid ******** $ more than the contracted price and would like this amount refunded to me. I will pursue Florida storm Windows to repair the elevator in a separate effort.
