    Business Response

    Hello,

Since it appears ************* essentially already disclosed his reason for dealing with our company we can assume there is no worries about 3rd party disclosure. This information (and the attached docs) are confidential and maybe protected by the ********* We have 2 different issues with his claim:

We did take possession of his 1998 ***** Blazer. Per Florida Statutes (Chapter 493) we inventoried everything that was in the vehicle at the time of repossession. ****** was sent to ************* at his DMV address on file giving him 45 days from the date of the letter otherwise property would be destroyed. *********************** claimed his property 57 days after the vehicle was repossessed so technically, the property didn't even belong to him anymore. That being said, we understand everyones position is unique and we try our hardest not to be like every other repossession company - We provided ************* back the property, he signed a form stating that was all the property that was in the vehicle and I personally didn't hear anything until a police officer showed up. He stated he was missing a laptop to the officer and nothing else. The officer took our information and told us not to sweat it.

When the vehicle was taken, it was taken from a neighborhood with an increased crime rate and the drivers door was unlocked and when we did open it to do inventory the door fell off the hinge and almost to the ground.... Giving ************** the benefit of the doubt that he did have rare coins and jewelry, it's quite possible that they were removed prior to us getting an repossession order.

While we do feel bad about ************** situation as a whole, I'm 100% sure that those items were not in the vehicle at the time of repossession and we think he knows that too. We would be more than happy to help him out with toiletry/basic items and clothes that were in other repossessed vehicles in which the statutory time has expired.
