February 24 of 2024 i took in my 2017 Mercedes benz AMG GT for the Driveshaft recall campaign number 2021090008 from mercedes benz. Vehicle was there for a week. I picked it up February 26 of 2024. I was also told Mercedes Benz has a 2 year 24,000 warranty on the work they do. August 12 of 2024 my rear axle bolts backed out while driving causing the car to loose complete power while driving. I went to Mercedes benz of Fort Walton 3 days in a row with the receipt the bulletin and any more information I could find about the recall. Mark *******(service director) then had my vehicle towed from pensacola(where the car lost power at) to Mercedes Benz of Fort walton beach. The vehicle sat there 28 days, was never pulled into a service bay and never examined. I was then told and emailed but the service manager Mark and the General manager Kelly that my vehicle will not be worked on because its modified. The vehicle has after market hood bumper and wheels. Neither would cause a one time use axle bolt to be reused or back out. And i even mentioned the warranty and they still would not do it. They emailed me pictures and videos of my old car on my personal social media and said it was my GT and it was racing thats why they wont fix it. I was also emailed and told parts was taken off of my car while it was there and when i asked for the video they say it could take a couple of days. I gave them 14 days and still no video. I have been borrowing other cars paying for gas in someone elses car and paid a car note and insurance on my car than can not be driven. Ive been stressed out and had sleepless nights due to this situation. I really just want me car to be examine for further damages due to the bolts backing out. A this point Im unsure if a repair would fix it because there is no telling if anything else in the vehicles powertrain was improperly assembled. Im having doubts of even driving the car. I need a proper inspection and if well inspected a repair

The dealership refused to work this car. It is highly modified.

I am rejecting this response because: the vehicle is the same way you all did the recall on. a hood front bumper and wheels. That is not "highly" modified. Crazy you all think that because I had a HIGHLY modified C63 AMG that made over 900hp and yall worked on it MULTIPLE times and I do have the receipts. The hood, bumper and wheels did not cause the bolts to back out.

    Sincerely,

On August 12, 2023 I went to ZT Motors, Fort Walton Beach, FL, to have repair work done on my 2008 Mercedes Benz C300 Sedan, VIN #WDDGF54X98F083234. My situation in question involves line item “D” on invoice number 743448 that cites a third brake light assembly and additional brake lamp that was supposed to be ordered from Mercedes-Benz in Germany. The total amount for the parts and the labor associated with this work was $1164.15. Parts were for a faulty third brake light assembly. Since my 12 Aug 2023 initial visit, I went to the ZT motors office service department and queried about my service ticket. Service Advisor Mr. Michael ********* expressed to me Mercedes was not currently making that part on this older model car, and that I had to wait. I received the same reply on my second visit in October 2023. Finally, on 18 March 2024, over 7 months later, I met Mr. ********* again and produced my invoice. I declared since 12 August 23, I never received any communication on this ordered part that never arrived to complete my maintenance ticket. I showed him all work was PRE-PAID (as an ordered part with future labor) by me on 12 August 2023. He called the parts department within Mercedes to follow up. He stated the part was received damaged and returned but I was never told. I explained to him that all I wanted was my money back. I had waited 7 months and I wasn’t willing to wait any longer. He said this service department did not issue refund checks—only corporate level did. He stated he did not have the authority to approve a refund, but his service manager did. I gave him my personal mailing address and he stated once the service manager approved the applicable full Line Item “D” refund, corporate Mercedes would send a direct check to me in 7-10 days for $1164.15 (the unfinished parts and labor). As I submit this to the Better Business Bureau for action, I verify that I have not received payment or any consideration by Mercedes-Benz on this issue.
