    We stayed at this RV resort in March 2023. While staying in the resort, an employee named, "***** ******* assisted us with our cable hook-up and introduced himself as the "go to" guy for anything we needed during our stay. He helped us move to a better site during our stay as ours was very noisy. We shared our story with him of how we lost our only child in July 2022 and this was our first trip out to see if we could find some joy in something. He befriended my husband, "***** and told him the owner of the resort gave him special permission to make deals with discounts for future stays to get "the right kind of people" to come back and discourage the riff raff! He sent us emails from the business email of the resort. These emails include reduces rate stays for March 2024. He took a $50 deposit through the business to secure the reservation and he asked that we venmo him $300 fee for the drastic reduction of our next stay. He said this was how the owner was able to keep the agreement between ***** and himself a secret from other employees who were not granted this authority. He sent us email receipts from the RV Resort showing the $50 deposit and the reduced rate. This all took place on March 4, 2023. On April 13, 2023 we received a new email from the resort with higher rates. We immediately inquired about the change and were told by ****** ******* Reservations and Confirmation Manager that they were audited and found that ***** was at fault for fraudulent transaction under their busines. We forwarded all our email and information to assist them in the investigation. Since then ****** has been uncooperative in giving us updates, owner's name, police jurisdiction, information as to whether or not charges or report have been filed with the authorities. She also told us they are not responsible for the $300 payment to ***** through Venmo. We informed her that we had no reason to suspect foul play and that ***** was acting as a representative of their company.

    We do apologize for the delay in response. The email in which the BBB correspondence was sent to was invalid. 

    Please note that this compliant is in regards to an ongoing Civil Matter and has been turned over to the Okaloosa County Sheriffs department; pending further investigation.

    Due to the sensitive nature of actions by a previous contract worker,  we are limited with any response to any guests at this time. We do expect further legal action in this regards.

    I am rejecting this response because:  We have supplied all the necessary information, documentation and proof of our loss from ***** ****** while employed by their company, onsite at the time and representing their company.  There is nothing more to prove for what they should refund to us, which is the $300, stated in the original submission of my complaint.
