I signed up for the "lifetime guaranteed" $44/month price for unlimited Brazilian waxes and 15% off all other services on June 17, 2023. All materials provided stated the membership would never increase once started. This is posted on the website, advertisement postings in the salon, and on pamphlets containing their cost for services. However, starting August 2023 they added in a 3% credit card fee to all of their transactions, including the membership fee. Patrons of the store were not sent any written information about the price increase, finding out from either checking their bill or seeing a physical sign posted at checkout inside the salon. When I inquired about paying for a few months of my membership in advance in cash to avoid the fee, I was informed that you are only allowed to pay for the membership using a credit card. Looking back on my receipt from August 3, 2023 I noticed I was charged the 3% before removing any reductions that my membership gave me. Meaning any time I get an extra service, not only am I not being given the full 15% discount, but I am also paying for the credit card fee on my membership twice. Once when I receive the Brazilian with any extra services that are charged to my account, and again every month when my membership fee is charged.
