We hired A Turner Moving to move our entire house from state to *************** they changed our moving date back and forth multiple times. Then, the guys showed up with a smaller truck which clearly could not hold a **** sq ft house. Immediately, they knocked down a 3.5 ft vase that we had gotten for our wedding 19 years ago before even wrapping anything up. Then we had to wait a week and a half for the movers to line up a truck for our 2nd load that they didn't fit in the first one. Once they got everything here we discovered that they broke an arm chair that my grandmother left me when she died, a very expensive arm chair. The claims department offered ** $48 total for both items. I would NEVER use these people again!

Thank you for your feedback. and the opportunity to respond. The original truck that was scheduled to load your goods had a mechanical issue and was in the shop for repairs. The truck that was available was smaller and left an overflow. We talked about the overflow early enough on load date so that you could choose which items were left behind for the 2nd pickup. The delivery spread for your shipment was through June 8th and all items, including overflow were delivered by June 8th. All customers have a choice of Replacement Cost Protection, with or without deductibles, as well as our Basic Carrier Liability of $.60/lb/article. The original quote presented included the Replacement Cost Protection. However, you elected the Basic Liability Coverage which is why the claims department offered $48. Despite the fact you declined coverage, our driver offered to pay for the vase and asked repeatedly for the cost, both at origin and destination. He was not aware of the wood chip on the chair leg until you made the claim. All our drivers have the authority to settle claims, on our behalf, at the time of the move to make things easier for our customers... no need to go through the hassle of filing a claim. Per our phone conversation, we will be mailing a check for the vase as claimed and repairing the chair. Thank you again for allowing this response.
