I believe this company is selling fraudulent equipment. I purchased the following 3 items: 1212.00, 2.32, and 2.92-6-90-240 required for their trapping system for $545.00, plus $74.00 for shipping and handling, and a grand total of $619.88 spent on the trap and what it required to operate it. It arrived on July 30, 2022. We set it up as soon as it as soon as it arrived. It was immediately clear that the trap was not working after 24 hours, where nothing had been caught and things were **ying around in the vicinity of the trap with no interest in it, and we had been victims of fraud. We have purchased cheap traps like this and they always caught something, within a day's time no less nearly 12 days. We immediately wrote them with a complaint on August 2, 2022, requesting a refund and help as it appeared to be fraudulent equipment, non working equipment and doing nothing. We received no response from the company. We wrote a 2nd time on August 4th, 2022. They finally deigned to respond to our 2nd letter of complaint, 7 days later on August 8th, 2022, simply said, "We do not take returns." It is clearly fraudulent advertising and we were sent a non working piece of junk equipment. I would like to return the equipment for a full refund of $619.88. If this does not work, I will follow through with filing a small claims court complaint. The equipment is totally non working. It has not caught a single thing, all instructions were followed to the letter. We want to return it at their cost, and receive a full refund of the purchase price, and the shipping handling fees and be refunded what we spent: $619.88.

the **** ** **** ******* has in your evaluation of the charges to refute the current issue # ********.

I believe this company is selling fraudulent equipment.”
    In support they say
“It was immediately clear that the trap was not working after 24 hours, where nothing had been caught and things were **ying around in the vicinity of the trap with no interest in it, and we had been victims of fraud. We have purchased cheap traps like this and they always caught something, within a day's time no less nearly 12 days.”

When homeowners and civilians inquire about our traps we always inform that they are not bug zappers, but surveillance tools to be used by professionals.  On occasion they ignore this warning, as in the present case.  (Side note here:  They received the equipment July 30 and asked for a refund August 2, so they did not run their trap for nearly 12 days.)

“It was immediately clear that the trap was not working after 24 hours, where nothing had been caught and things were **ying around in the vicinity of the trap with no interest in it”.

What?  It caught NOTHING.  After nearly two days, NOTHING?

We can think of no other reason for this complaint than dishonesty.  If they ran the trap it caught **ying insects as explained earlier.  The traps use a diode to prevent the traps running backwards from reversed polarity.  If they ran it, insects were captured, and it would not be surprising if it did not catch more than the “cheap traps” as it is a surveillance tool not a control device, a zapper.  We stand completely behind everting for a minimum of a year;  but they don’t have a device that failed, i.e., does not catch anything.. our trap caught NOTHING is simply and obviously not true, the complainant is disappointed their new trap did not catch MORE than the cheap ones so they want their money back.

    It is clearly fraudulent advertising…”.

    1.  We do not advertise at all and have not for decades, word of mouth does work for us.
    2. Moreover, the complainants apparently are ignorant of the importance in trap placement.  In the instructions that came with their trap (attached and here:  ************************************************************************) you will find the following on the importance of trap location:

“Proper location of light traps is particularly important. In general, the best catches are made where cover is good and the humidity is relatively high. Locations a short distance into the margins of wooded areas and swamps are very desirable; traps over open water or in open pasture are typically less productive. Traps should be suspended 5-6 feet above the ground, preferably 30 feet or more from buildings. To be avoided are areas near other sources of artificial light, sites exposed to strong winds, places near buildings housing animals, or those areas exposed to industrial fumes and smoke. For mosquito control operations, one or more traps should be located between known breeding sources and inhabited areas; others are best located in critical spots such as near residential and recreational sites. A single trap usu- ally re**ects mosquito **ight activity within a few yards of its location. A trap may represent an area as large as a block, but this information is not always reliable, and a sufficient number of traps must be utilized to assure a representative sample. The actual number required will depend upon a number of fac- tors including the degree of accuracy required, the manpower available, size of area involved, etc.

If a site fails to produce the expected number of mosquitoes, judging from collections in other traps in the area, the trap is relocated. Sometimes a shift of only a few yards makes a considerable difference in the number of mosquitoes attracted. If arbovirus survey work is being done where live catches are essential, care is taken to place the traps where they will be shaded from the morning sun.”

Last point:  As the engineer and Ph.D. scientist at our Company, I routinely take calls and emails from our customers for advice, technical help, recommendations, and expected performance outcomes.  We did not have any inquiries from the complainants.

    Thank you and kind regards,
