    I'm not sure what ACC is required to do, but I can say that no one notified me that they, or anyone else would be doing work in my front yard. Someone came and placed orange and yellow flags in my yard and my neighbors yards up and down my street last week and today they came and cut my internet. I'm assuming this is to set up internet for a new neighbor, but they showed up shortly before 11am and I lost internet. I assumed they were doing some quick work and it would be back up and running soon, but by 11:30, they were gone. Now I have no internet, an uncovered cable box, a 'Ditch Witch' parked in front of my house and more questions than answers. Are they not required to notify me, or my internet provider? Cox seems to be just as much in the dark as I am.

The flags you saw were markers left by the locating company (USIC), they show where underground utilities are located.
