    On 8/10/2024 my husband and I entered a contractual agreement with Rolladen, Inc. to purchase a NEW HURRICANE SHUTTER. ******* *., the assigned installer, came to our home and took measurements of the window, explained the installation process, timeline, etc. My husband and I signed the contract and paid the 50% deposit of $1,067.50 (check #: 2006). The final payment of $1,067.50 would be due at the time of final installation/finished work. The written contract stated "DELIVERY to take place in approximately 2 to 3 weeks." After 3 weeks had passed with no response from Rolladen, Inc., I began calling the company and spoke with ****** "***" ******* the President, Secretary and Director of Rolladen, Inc. I called/texted *** numerous times asking for the work to be completed ASAP. On one occasion *** said that he had to delay my hurricane shutter installation as his company's resources had to be diverted to areas in the ** S. hit by natural disasters. I understood and agreed that helping others in dire straits was important. After several months passed and still no contact from ***, I called Rolladen, Inc. again. This time *** said that his installer, ******* *., had been in an accident and could not install at that time. *** also said that new window measurements would need to be taken, but that he actually had the hurricane shutter available. I continued to call, but did not keep a record of my phone calls. I did text *** asking for my hurricane shutter installation to be done promptly on 9/20/24, 9/26/24, 10/7/24, 1/23/25 and 4/30/25. On 4/30/25, I texted *** telling him that having a new hurricane shutter installed by 5/31/2025 was very important to me in light of the upcoming hurricane season beginning June 1st. When *** DID NOT respond to my 4/30/25 text, I texted again on 5/20/25 requesting an appointment for the installation work to be done. I have not heard from *** or a Rolladen, Inc. representative to date.
