I signed an agreement on 1/9/20 for a 50th wedding anniversary party for my parents to be held 4/11/20 at Tuscany on the Meadows in Hernando, FL. My correspondence has been with AnnMarie B*********. Due to COVID, and the fact that all guests were elderly, and many immunocompromised, we postponed the event on 3/12/20. After much consideration, I requested a return of the $500 deposit on 7/27/20, knowing we would not be able to reschedule due to COVID. On 8/3/20 I again requested a refund and was told it would be mailed out "as things pick up". On 4/24/21, 7/7/21, 12/30/21, 4/4/22, I emailed AnnMarie again asking where the refund was. I was advised by her on 4/6/22 she had a check and was mailing it out the next day. On 4/14/22, 4/20/22, and 5/23/22 I emailed again as I still had not received the check. On 7/17/22 I sent a final email demanding the return of the $500 deposit by 7/22/22. It's been over a year since the initial request for a refund, and I still have not received it. I've attached a copy of the contract, the email history to support the statements above, as well as the final email demanding return of the deposit by 7/22/22. Also attached is a copy of the cashier's check for $500 used to reimburse our Dad since he paid the deposit initially and my sister and I were paying for the party. I expect to be reimbursed for the $500 deposit immediately as this is what AnnMarie agreed to.
