I was harassed by FB Doors thru the whole project of installing impact windows and doors in my house. Eventually the project was done and I fully Paid to FB Doors Corp but they did not pay the manufacturer ES Windows for the windows they purchased for my house, therefore they must pay their debt to the manufacturer ES windows in order for the manufacturer ES Windows to release the lien it imposed on my house. ES Windows attorneys threatening to foreclose on my house. I do not deserve it. I fully paid my debt to FB Doors. I am attaching the proof FB doors provided me with a lien release and admitting I paid in full. I am attaching the Lien itself by ES windows and the *************** which I never received. FB Doors are criminals by the name of the Law as they are partnered with an aggressive Law firm that harassed me for no reason. I do not belong to the war FB Doors and ES Windows have between them. FB Doors should pay their debt to ES Windows as I did paid them fully.Business Response

We had impact windows and a sliding glass door installed on 9/22 by FB DOORS. We noticed our floors had lifted from water coming in under our new sliding glass door. Our walls and floor where destroyed by the water damage in our family room. We reached out to FB Doors and got the run around and blame game for months. We took our problems to social media and guess what, they responded. We talked to an engineer from their company and he confirmed the sliding glass door shouldve never been installed for that application. FB DOORS sent salesman and installers boss out before the install and they didnt know it couldnt be done for this application but it was still installed and it was over $7,500k just for the sliding glass doors. The total job was over $21k. They came back a ridiculous offer of 500 dollars to fix our walls and floors. What an insult. FB DOORS HAS NO INTEGRITY OR INTEREST IN RESOLVING THIS MATTER WITH US. PLEASE MAKE THR PUBLIC AWARE.Business Response

Dear ****************,
FB Doors Corp understands your honest request, and we are sorry to learn about your experience with us. For this reason, we would like to share the following information to refute the allegations against us.
FB Doors carried out the doors and windows installation on your property through a permit submitted to the City of *******************************, which was approved and inspected by that department's personnel and not by an engineer's opinion.
Your project passed the final inspection on September 15, 2022. At that time, we wrote a Construction Completion Certificate stating that all work performed by FB Doors was satisfactory. Said document was approved and signed by both parties, according to the Contract for Services, and it also details the beginning of the labor warranty on the job performed.
Upon contacting us and reporting water entering the property through the Sliding Glass Door (***), a manufacturer's representative inspected the installation and concluded that the door had no manufacturing defects. However, it was advisable to remove the sill, seal underneath, and reinstall the anchors with a substantial amount of silicone. FB Doors personnel carried out the task and completed it on September 22, 2023. (Free of Charge, cover under warranty).
However, the manufacturer's inspector stated that the manner used by you to clean the *** from the outside did not recreate the hurricane conditions for which the door had been tested and approved (Miami-Dade, Notice of Acceptance NOA# **-0114.11). For this, he suggested consulting the manufacturer's maintenance manual, and you will prevent any water from entering.
When you stated that the water destroyed the walls and floor in the family room, we researched our records before the beginning of the project (02-14-22). For clarification purposes, we attached pictures reflecting the condition of the walls and the engineered wood floor where you can visualize cracks in the walls, and the interior side floor at the existing French door entrance was swollen and wet.
To solve the problem on the wall,FB Doors staff fixed the damaged area. Again, this repair was Free of Charge.(See Before-After pictures attached).
For solving pre-existing floor conditions at the door location, we offered you different options through a Contract Change Order involving additional costs, which you did not accept.
FB Doors Corp has every desire to address your needs and provide the best solution available to resolve your issues.
Should you need any further details, please feel free to contact us.

I signed a contract with FB Doors on 3/20/23 to install high-impact windows on my 10th floor apartment. Due to some confusion with the **** the permit was not filed until 6/15/23. On 7/7/23 the permit was denied. Since then, NOTHING has happened. Reasons for failing the permit application:1. "Please provide a reference plan of the entire building showing location of the apartment unit. Indicate street sides and north arrow."2. "Please provide an elevation drawing of the building showing existing and proposed windows. Please indicate frame material, frame color, glass type, and glass color in a window/door schedule."3. "Please provide color photographs of the building clearly showing the type of windows and doors to be replaced. The type of window and doors shall be clear in the photographs. Include a reference plan to identify photographs location..."4. "Please provide special inspector form for bucks and anchors for windows and doors installation. According to plans at least units 3 & 4 should be located on Zone 5 thereafter need to stand wind load for zone 5". I am baffled how basic information like frame material, color, glass type, and glass color, etc. were not already on the permit!!To top it all off, there is a Contractor Certification Expiration hold on the permit. As city website states:"This hold is due to a contractor license or insurance being expired. Please email updated license and/or insurance to buildingcontractor@****************.IAA Contractor Certification Expiration Hold - 2023-07-14 00:05:08.36307/14/2023 Inactive".Either this company has never installed windows in a high-rise, or they are just incompetent. They are giving me the run-around. I have been calling/emailing at least once a week for the last 45 days and have been getting the same response: "Our engineers are working on the plans." If they are so incompetent in getting a permit, how long will it take them to install the windows?Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:FB Doors:

Response:
These are empty words. As you stated, you filed for permit on 6-14-23. It is 10-30-23 (4.5 months later) and no permit. I have been demanding a refund since 9/12/23. You have no right to put customers lives on hold with no end in sight.

Response:
The Glass Type, Window and Door Elevations, etc. are all because you are dealing with a high-rise building. You failed to provide important information relevant to a high-rise building where the pressure calculations are different, and MUST be provided for safety reasons.

Signed contract around November 2022 to have impact windows/doors installed. Received text notification on June 2, 2023 that they were going to start work on Monday, June 5. As of today, August 22, 2023, work has not been completed. We have to constantly call the office as nobody picks up the phone when we call either the field supervisor ******, or even ******. You will see on the attachments that the screen that they received was for our double sliding door, however, the handle is on the WRONG side. This has yet to be fixed. You will also see where on July 14th, we were advised that our remaining screens would arrive in 15 days.. It is now August 22, 2023 (you do the math) and they have no clue where our screens are to date.Desired resolution is to fix the problems stated above and pending issues. As well, we want FB doors to pay to have a company (of our choosing as FB is no longer trusted nor are they honest/ethical), to inspect not only our upstairs bathroom wall, but also our front door walls as well as 2nd floor walls above front door, for any leaking that *** have occurred and for FB to absorb the cost to fix the issue of possible mold having developed. To add insult to injury, while waiting on the above, we contracted to have our home painted with another company. When they got to our 2nd floor bathroom window, they advised that the window company did not seal the window from the outside. You could see wood. About a month had passed since FB installed that window and when the painting company advised us. Pictures also attached. Now, yesterday, we had a heavy rain. Our front door had a massive leak. We were told someone would be out today to look at it, however, then told it would not be until Saturday. We have a brand new roof since December 2022 with many thunderstorms since then, so it is NOT our roof that is the issue but rather when they installed the windows as the problem began shortly thereafter. I have video of that but not able to upload.Business Response

FB Doors Corp values you as a customer. As a company, we strive to provide you with the highest quality standards and exceptional customer service.
According to our records, your project was completed on 10-07-23 after accommodating the installation date at your convenience. At that time, we installed the missing screens and sealed a window on the second floor.
Also, we have not yet received payment of $275.00 Invoice # **** for the window water leaking inspection. Leaking that you finally confirmed to our customer service representative it was due to a roof issue.
We hope that sharing this information will help you to re-evaluate the situation.

I am rejecting this response because:I am sure that bringing a few facts to your attention will help you to clear up this situation. Regarding the installation of the missing screens that you said was finally finished at "our convenience" on 10/7/23...I have a text dated July 14th from your company stating that the remaining screens in question were arriving in 2 weeks. That would put the date to be 7/28/23. You called a couple weeks before 10/7 to say they were finally in and you wanted to install. We were out of town that weekend so chose the following weekend which your office was ok with. We waited at home until around noon only to call your company to find out when you were coming out, that your installer was sick (sure). So you then came out on 10/7. So you lied about "2 weeks".
We contracted with a painting company and while having our house painted, they noticed that the upstairs bathroom window was NOT sealed. From the time your company installed that specific window, about a month had passed whereby, as you know, we are in hurricane season whereby we had heavy rains most daily. Because of that, water potentially got into the opening around the window as the pictures had shown from this original complaint. How much damage did your negligence cause? We can certainly find out and I would be more than happy to send you the bill for repair work.
As to your company coming out due to what we thought was a leak from a window installation on our 2nd floor bedroom down to the front doors...We called your company when we noticed it was leaking. As we had a new roof put on, and never had a leak previously, we said it was due to the window upstairs. While we still think it is due to the new window being put in (as your pounding of trying to remove the old window possibly separated the seal of the roof), none-the-less, your company came out to see what the problem was. When it was determined that it was the roof, we thanked your employees for coming out (whether they understood what I said or not, I don't know, as your frontline employees don't seem to speak English). It was not until a few hours had passed that we received a phone call and told ONLY at that time was told that there was going to be a charge added to our bill (which to this day, we have no bill saying we owe $275).
When we called about the leak, no mention of a possible charge to us would be administered should your company not found to be at fault. Instead we called, explained the situation, your company came out and did their inspection. Once the issue was resolved, the employees left without us signing anything or again, any mention of us owing you $275. Then we get the phone call saying we owe it. That isn't how it works. You tell us on the initial phone call that if it is determined that it is not your fault, then there would be a charge to us which at that time of the call, we can either accept or deny. We have no bill, only harrasment from your team saying we owe it (after the fact), however, your company would be willing to waive this bogus charge should we make edits to our honest reviews of your company on various websites. In fact, you asked that we edit the review first and you would "see about" getting the charge removed. Sounds like Blackmail to me.
Lastly, as to what you "strive to provide" in regards to "excellent customer service". There is none. You and your team do not communicate in any way, shape or form. I have other photos I would be happy to share as we were told that while working, rooms would be "zipped up". They weren't. When it rained, someone on your team held up a plastic sheet and taped against the wall to try to keep rain from coming in. Same with our triple sliding door. None-the-less, rain came in on our wood floors. We always had to call your office. Amazing that we bought into your promises only to be lied to. How can you NOT have all our screens come in at one time whereby we had to wait 3-4 months for the remaining 7 screens to arrive.
Lastly, we kept being asked to sign completion paperwork even though the job wasn't complete. We were told you do it all the time and would leave the remaining work as "pending" as you needed to get paid by the finance company. We reluctantly agreed to sign before completion as we had already had our interest rate increase due to them not having completing the project within 6 months of being approved for ****% financing. Who know what it would have been had we not signed. The financing company even mentioned to NOT sign anything until work had been completed. ****** learned.
We hope that sharing this information will help you to re-evaluate the situation.
Sincerely,
*****************************Business Response

*****************,
As we mentioned in our previous response, the contract for services at your property ended on 10-07-23. As proof, we attach the approved City of ****************************** Final Inspection, payment from the financial institution, and photos that demonstrate the completion of the openings in compliance with the Florida Building Code with their screens when required.
It is worth mentioning that the staggered delivery of the screens is subject to the manufacturer's delivery schedule, and FB Doors has no control over that.Likewise, the presence of the screen does not affect the performance of the impact window or sliding glass door during a storm or hurricane.
Honoring our labor guarantee on the installation, we sent our technicians to your property to resolve the window leaking you complained about. However, before performing the service, our representative informed you that this service would generate a charge if the failure were somebody elses responsibility.
Perhaps you did not want to accept the change order for $275 because you did not understand. Nonetheless, we sent you Invoice # **** on 08-26-23, which is still pending (See attached).
Although you accepted verbally and in writing that the leaking problems were not due to the windows and doors installed by FB Doors, you kept negative reviews about us.
Just as you did not accept the Change Order, you have not signed the Completion Construction Certificate (CCC), even though the project is already finished according to the Contract for Services.
This response will be our last one until the debt is paid off and the CCC is signed.

Complaint: 20508136
I am rejecting this response because:I am sure that bringing a few more facts to your attention will help you to clear up your (mis)understanding as you dont seem to comprehend very well as to the complaint lodged against your company.
You are correct that contract for services ended on 10/7. That is not in dispute at this time, however, was disputed prior to that date and the basis for the complaint against your company. The check for $522.41 was for the remaining balance we had for contracted services, which was paying for the permit fee. There is/was nothing more owed to your company at that point. As mentioned, NEVER at any time, prior to, during,or until about 2-3 hours after your company had come out to look for a leak within the 2nd floor window down to the front doors, was there ever a mention of a FEE for $275. NEVER. Only after the fact on the phone call. Again, that is not how it works. If there was to have been a fee, we should have been told before hand so we could choose to accept or decline. It didnt happen and if you claim that it did, then you and/or whoever told you otherwise are liars. We were also NEVER sent an invoice. Just because you show one, does not mean we received it or that you even sent it.
As it relates to the screens and your saying staggered delivery, once again, pay attention.YOUR company texted us on July 28, 2023 to say that remaining screens would be in in 2 weeks (we have text),yet you did not put in until October 7. Perhaps you didnt understand the difference between weeks and months, as it was almost 2 months after your text that they arrived. Nobody is or has disputed the effects of not having screens as to the effectiveness of the impact windows.
The negative review against your company is more than just the leaking issue with the front door. I have no problem in amending my review of the leak from the 2nd floor bedroom to the front door, however, will add that your company never quoted us a fee upfront if found it was not due to the fault of your company.
Upload #** in your photos is of the bathroom window that was left UNSEALED around the framing with exposed wood looking into the studs of the home for approximately 1 month. Again, it was a painter that we contracted that found this issue. Had it not been for us wanting to also repaint our home, the framing would be exposed to this day. Whether your team came out to fix this issue or not does not negate the fact that it was still left exposed for approximately 1 month to the elements during hurricane season when we had lots of rain. This leads to possible mold issues. Never received an apology or an offer to pay for a contractor of our choosing to come out and ensure there is not water damage of which you would most certainly be liable for due to your gross negligence.
You have been paid in full since 10/7/23. Nothing more is owed.
Sincerely,

I contracted with FB DOORS in May, 2022 for new garage door, new front door, new windows and sliding doors for entire house with a $25,000.00 deposit paid at that time. As of today, one year later, nothing has been installed. Today, I was informed that the wrong garage door was ordered and would need to be reordered. When I tried to reach a supervisor via telephone at FB Doors, I was hung up on twice. The third time I was sent straight to a voice mail. I left a message, but don't really expect a call back considering how unprofessionally my account has been handled to date. The voice message box didn't even identify with whom I was leaving a message or their role with the company. I have lost all faith in this company. They do not stand behind their promises. At this point, I just want my $25,000.00 refunded and to sever ties with FB DOOR.Business Response

I did a contract with FB Doors for the removal of all my all widows/sliding doors and the installation of new impact windows (hurricane resistance) The contract contemplates the removal of shutters and the interior and exterior finishing works. The contract was signed in April 2022 and it took 10 months to deliver, during this time two visits were performed to confirm the sizes and condition of the windows and doors. On February **************************************************************** the material was dropped at my house without prior information, and the windows did not have a label to be able to locate it per the original drawing. The contractor starts with the windows upstairs, after a couple of hours the Project Manager show up at my property for the first time and mentioned the removal of the existing windows was harder than they expected and required extra work, and due to this they will need it to charge more, the original contract did not specify either type of frame consider for removal or time use, it just considers removal of existing windows. As FB Doors had more than 20 years of experience, this condition should have been considered since the original contract. Now they want me to accept a charging order of more than 25% of the original contract value, even when all that is claimed on the change order is defined as a regular activity of the initial contract. it is an abuse and a lack of professionalism. Fb Doors are taking advantage of the fact that they left me without hurricane protection shutters to force me to have to pay more for something that is part of the original contract.Business Response

During the last weeks, FB Doors Corp provided explanatory information about the additional work to perform on your remodeling project.
The information clearly detailed the work involved and why it is out of the scope of the Contract for Services signed by you. Therefore it will require a Contract Change Order, or you can do it independently.
Up to this point, we have not received any response from you to continue with the started project and in which all the material has been delivered to the job site agreed upon by both parties.(See attached Acknowledgment Receipt of Material and Start Installation Confirmation Text). As we have let you know in our email dated 03-29-23, your project will follow the corresponding legal course, and FB Doors Corp will not submit any further responses through this means of communication.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: it is not related about the complaint submit, my complain is in regards a change order that has been submitted to me after stopping the work in my house form more than 6 weeks and that all activities related to the change order are part of the original contract. In regards to the windows and sliding doors supply there was no way to check as there was no relation between the drawing and the windows. In summary the change order is absurb and does not apply to the case.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because is even though is truth that they send it to a legal department, the issue has not been resolve. I have tried even when I am not in an agreement of the extra cost to absorb some of the extra expenses they are claiming in order to set into a settlement however i have not get any positive response from their side or the legal section. They were never able to show how the job was out of original contract specs and they don't even want to negotiate to move forward with the installation which I have asked more than 10 times because my family and my house are not protected now as on Feb 10 all my accordion shutter were removed and disposed by them.My mental health is been affected with this ongoing issue, it has been more than 2 month without resolution. I have been doing everything in my power to be able to move forward with the process without any positive response from the company or their legal department.
In summary they are not trying to resolve this complaint.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because, I sent an agreement but they are modifying it, they are making me pay for everything and I submit an agreement at least for them to do a proper job and to show and finish the job in my property and now they are doing modifications to my document so I don't even know what I will be receiving. I have attached my original agreement to show proof of all the work i have done trying for them to move forward but I want to point out that they are making me pay extra for something that is part of the original contract. I am just agreeing to pay because they remove all my shutters in February and I have my house and my family unprotected.

I signed a contract with FB Doors on 03/25/2022 which includes replacement of 15 items (windows, entrance door and garage door) in my house with hurricane resistant ones plus complete color change of the house. I selected the option with financing YGrene. Everything went smooth, permit applications done to City and HOA, the approvals received with some delay but that was not the problem, still acceptable. The thing is, FB Doors never updated me about the possible date of installation, I need to call back numerous times my sales rep ***** and other customer rep at the office. Everybody promised me to get the info about my project and call me back in 30 but no response. Not 11 months passed and the only information that I have from FB Doors is "they only received several item to install, most items are still missing". How come? After 11 months of waiting? In the meantime, ****** cancelled my contract due to delays and increasing interest rates, so we hardly found another company and signed financing contract but I feel like the new financing company will cancel too due to endless delays. Today 2/20/2023 and I am still waiting for an answer from FB Doors for the installation date, nobody calls me back. Probably I need to visit their offices and talk face to face, maybe that will help.I picked FB Doors with its great customer reviews but my experience is HORRIBLE so far, I am sorry.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this reply is satisfactory to me with the condition: I need to see the real movement and updates on time as they say the *** for the material is 4/7/2023. I can not accept more delays, my neighbor got his full project delivered 3.5 months after the *** and City approvals. My *** approval date is 8/11/2022 and ************* approval date is 9/28/2022. The given *** also corresponds 6.5months of delivery and I still do not know when they will be able to the installation after they receive material. Hope not to miss summer 2023.

Fb doors started the project of installing my windows, doors and sliding doors on 11/18/22. They stopped on 11/28/22 leaving about 7 windows to complete. I have been reaching out to them since 12/12/22 to find out when they were coming back to finish the job. I kept getting either no response by text messages or when i call they said someone will return my call. They said they were waiting on my windows to arrive. I explained to them that the doors were not operating as they should and the screen door is completly off the hinges. They never called me back in regards to that. Finally on 1/30/23 i recieved a text message saying they were coming to finish. They droped off the windows off and finished installing the 7 windows on 2/1/23. Then they sent a message and said they were returning the next day i asked what time and git no response. I then text them again in the morning and asked what time and for them to call me when they were on the way. They of course didn't call and showed up and told me that there will be an inspection between ***** and if i wasnt there to let the inspectors in they will automatically fail the inspection. I had to leave work to arrive there before 10. Once i got there the inspector came and failed the inspection because they didnt do a pre inspection he explained to me they have to open up the work they did to see the materials used. Now Fb doors is trying to force me to sign documents stating the work is completed. They scheduled another inspection without my knowledge and i cancelled it and rescheduled it on my day off. They say I'm delaying the inspection and i need to sign the papers so they can get paid. I told them I'm not signing until the work is complete. They told me don't call them no more they are referring me to their legal team and gave me a number. I called the number abs the guy told me he has no reference to my case. Fb doors wont return my calls or messages and the work is still not complete. Blinds are still on my floorBusiness Response

Dear Ms./***************:
Before FB Doors Corp received your claim on February 20, 2023, our *********************** tried several times unsuccessfully to establish a date to perform your project Building Final Inspection.
According to our Contract for Services dated July 18, 2022, Item 9. Final Inspection,Owner agrees that 48 hours after the completion of the work, FB Doors will request a Final Inspection.
Your ************************ performs inspections Monday through Thursday, and the inspector schedules the time. FB Doors Corp has no control over the time of the inspector's arrival.
Among the objectives is to verify that the wood bucks and anchors installed comply with the Florida Building Code and the part Notice of Acceptance *** or ******* File Number. Therefore, it is necessary to leave visible all parts recently installed and cover them at the end of the Final Inspection process.
Based on what you stated about your availability on Mondays, the first available inspection date is Monday, March 27, but it is necessary to reserve by Wednesday, March 22, 2023. On Tuesday,March 28, 2023, we will conclude the work. It is important to emphasize that the two days must be consecutive (Monday and Tuesday) for inspection and conclusion.
In this regard, we are requesting you confirm this time without delay.
Respectfully,Customer Answer
