Absolutely terrible experience dealing with ******. We signed a contract and gave a deposit at the beginning of November of 2024. It is now February 2025 and we are still waiting for our cabinets. After multiple phone call not being answered and asking for our money back. We are still waiting for a response from ****** and are very disappointed with this process and are looking to take legal action immediately.Initial Complaint

* A Deposit of $6000 was made on September 26, 2022 to hire ***** and begin the work.* As per the agreement, the work would be completed no later than 3 weeks after the deposit. * ***** the business owner pushed back our start date multiple times with excuses until he finally admitted that he was backed up and the "Granite" installer that he had to contract as a 3rd party was not available so he took on another contractor that he was not happy with but did so to complete our job.* ***** committed to having our kitchen completed in 3 weeks as to our expectations with high quality cabinets that he showed us during a visit with him to his business and high quality work.*After weeks and multiple extensions as per ***** request the kitchen on December 23rd (10 weeks after completion commitment and contract) the kitchen was still not completed. What was started was faulty with broken cabinets, not opening and closing properly, sideways, cabinets not closing properly to agreement, the quality of the work is poor you can see it in the pictures it was not professional work. *El Shaddai employees said they were not professionals that they just get contracted and put on the shirt of the business. * The granite counter top was cut wrong creating gaps that were sealed with amounts of material to cover holes, un even cuts and ends, still missing pieces of the cabinets, my kitchen cabinet handles were taken by the employee, and the granite countertop piece was cut wrong and never returned.Business Response

Our Company El Shaddai Wood Design, did make a Contract with ***************** signed and dated by his wife on Sep 26, 2022. We stated on the contract that we will begin work 3 weeks after a deposit was received of $6,000, and we began work at their property on October 14, 2022, with the installation of the base cabinets for the Kitchen and we were waiting for our Granite guy to become available, as we are not his only partners. He was not able to confirm he will be able to make this project and that's when we decided to look for another *************** to make the countertop, which he visited ********************** property on 11/24/2022 as he did not have any sooner dates available, Which he built and installed perfectly. After the countertop was installed that's when our company continue to install the remaining cabinets for the Kitchen. The installation of the Cabinets take a few day as it's not a small kitchen. ***************** is correct that some areas and pieces that did not come out correctly, which we contacted them directly to fix this issue which included new doors and new pieces which our company went back and removed and reinstalled, as shown in the attached picture. We were not able to finish the handles and the piece of granite that was cut out new because everytime we would contact ****************** beginning 12/23/2022 he would avoid our text messages and phone calls, and let us know he's not home and rescheduling according to what he would let our company know but never responded and we were never able to go back to install the handles purchased by our company as well as the piece of granite. The receipt of the handles purchased from ******************* on 11/30/2022 is attached as proof our company purchased these handles.
Our Company El Shaddai Wood Design, Is looking to finish the remaining bit of work left at Mr. and ******************* to be able to receive the Final Balance they have pending of $6,000, the deposit of $6,000 was only for Cabinet Materials and cabinet accessories (Hinges,Handles, etc.), the remaining $6,000 is the payment for the Fabrication and Installation of the Countertop and the Kitchen Cabinets which ***************** still has pending, our contract was a total of $12,000.

I am rejecting this response because: The owner continues to lie. In his response he says he wants to fix the mess he made however he sent us an email on January 17, 2023 at 1:05 pm with a Notice to Lien on our house for trying to collect a payment for over 1 month when he still was not even finished. (Picture attached) The contract also states that installation is completed 2-3 weeks after deposit. (Picture attached) He did not start installation until December as he stated with his delays from his 3rd party contract with the granite guy that had nothing to do with what ****** said would be our deadline. Even in ****** response he admits to the delay and he had no communication with us leaving us without a kitchen. As for no contact after the 23rd of December that was a holiday season, we had a previously booked vacation with our kids since they had no school. We would have never hired El Shaddai in September 26 had he told us he would still not be finished 3 months later by December 23, 2022. ****** was communicated with on the 23 that we will be gone for the holidays. Lastly the quality of the work remains the same. Chipped and shaved corners on the cabinets, uneven cuts, cabinets do not close according to his contract and what we selected, measurements remain off, missing the granite we paid for, rails on cabinets are un even.
Sincerely,

Correct, we did send ****************** a Lien of property on January 1/17/2023, hours before ****************** sent a complaint to BBB, and sent us an email which stated he was sending us to court with a court date already set and threatening to ruin our company through ALL social media platforms (SEE PICTURE ATTACHED). After December 23, 2022 ****************** began giving excuses as to why we were not able to finish the installation of the handles purchased by us and the granite piece pending. We were never aware of ********************** vacation until December 27, 2022 which was when we insisted with calls and text, and he then let us know he was on vacation until January 1, 2023 , he was going to call us to schedule a date that following week. We have proof that we have insisted to finish the handles purchased by our company and the granite piece that has not been paid yet, and ****************** has refused to answer, which has let us to believe ****************** does not want to pay the remaining balance for the entire completion of the work, with the mistakes fixed as shown in the picture attached before which is included here as well, which shows the kitchen has been completed with cabinets, drawers, doors, and countertop only missing handles and a small granite piece. We'd like to remind ****************** that the deposit provided only covers the Materials, Labor and Fabrication of the Kitchen, the remaining balance is for the installation and completion of the kitchen, which what was completed is way more than the small pieces pending.
Regarding the installation date, we don't understand why ****************** is not being honest, when we didn't start to speak with ***************** until December but have been in communication with ******************* since the beginning. On October 14, 2022, (SEE MESSAGE) shows we began to install the base cabinets like mentioned for the countertop. On October 18, 2022 (SEE MESSAGE) shows we measure for the granite to began the granite work and send ******************* a cut list for her approval and records. On October 24, 2022 (SEE MESSAGE), shows ******************* purchased the sink needed for the countertop. We gave ******************* the information to our supplier ***************** the day the contract was signed here at our office and let her know to purchase it right away because that can delay the granite, we had delays on end regarding the granite but as proof it was not ONLY because of our company. On November 28,2022 (SEE MESSAGE), Shows an image/video of ******************* showing us the type of handle she wants, which as you can see it has the countertop installed.
****************** is not being honest and we are to believe he does not want to pay the remaining balance, and led us to Lien his property.
