I bought mosaic tile 1 1/2 yrs ago from MineralTile. The rep sent photos of how it looks installed w/ a beautiful repeating pattern. It was expensive but I loved it & bought it. They arrived w/most cracked/chipped. I paid full ************ weren't listed as seconds. I'm handicapped (hit by car while running) & have permanent vision damage. It's hard for me to move ******** get migraines from eye strain. They refused to FaceTime even though we have Apple phones, so I had to take photos of each one, circle defects & sent them (in increments bc I've only got a phone). Eventually I talked her into sending a small box of replacements but most also had defects. She said to have my contractor cut out defects & replace them w/ individual pieces. I shouldn't have to incur extra labor costs bc she sent damaged tile.(I had 11th surgery in 10 yrs & couldn't walk. The project got delayed & just resumed.)There's flimsy mesh on the back; I spent 5hrs taping them for my contractor to cut.But main issue is they don't fit together. My contractor spent 5+hrs trying w/me. He's got 40+yrs exp & is one of the highest rated contractors here. He said they don't go together. I eventually identified 4 patterns- not indicated anywhere, Only the same pattern seems to connect w/ itself w/o leaving gaps up to 3" wide that looks awful & nothing like the photo she sent. I called for help. They won't take/return calls despite my disabilities, so twice I've sent 5 videos showing how the tiles don't connect except one pattern. She said 3" gaps are fine & if I want them to connect like the photo she sent I need to buy at least 4 times the amount needed & sort thru the different patterns to find ones that connect. ?!She should have told me there were different patterns. Better yet, she should have sent me all the same pattern so they'd go together. Now I'm stuck. Contractor has to do it tomorrow. I lost a week, out $800 in labor AND the cost of the tile bc I have to buy something else now.
