      Payed ******* to have a transimissiom rebuilt and ready to go in my 1984 corvette.Was promised 3 days. Took almost a month and when I picked it up the first time it was still doing the same thing. He kept it 3 more days and its still. The same. I called to complain and he told me my car is a piece of c*** but didnt have any problems taking my cash money. He also broke bolts off in my exhaust manufold and did a s*** repair on that. I feel if I take my car back to him he will sabotage something else.

      Yesterday we received a notice of no response from the BBB..Clearly this is not true.  You can see the first 2 files uploaded in December. The code provided us for response entry apparently expired.  Your email states This is a no-reply e-mail. Replies to this message are not monitored or answered.  Limiting any ability for further response. Todays email has an updated  new link and code.

      The vehicle in question is a 41 year old Chevy.  The transmission was badly burned up. The car had been heavily modified in  unusual ways. The entire dash assembly was replaced with what appeared to be plywood,toggle switches and gauges generic vehicles.  The ignition key switch and circuits were by bypassed and while present have no function.   The door panels were removed and being rewired in a similar fashion. These modifications lacked proper electrical design and therefore suffered in functionality as well as disabling important computer inputs.
      Under the hood it was obvious the carburetor and other components where changed using incompatible parts.  The vehicle computer that sends required lock up signal to transmission was  rendered inoperable due to these modifications lacking the required sensors.  The engine would backfire under acceleration due to the same.
      Mr.********* was advised that the transmission would not function to original specs due to these changes and at the very least the torque converter valve had to be mechanically modified to provide the lockup function that the computer was designed to due. A proper modification work around would require a non lock converter and diffent pump mods that was more money and declined.  The modification was crude and Mr ********* wanted to try it before opting for a more expensive work around.  Most importantly he was advised  the incorrect carburetor has the wrong elliptical geometry to function the throttle valve cable that controls transmission pressure and shift timing.
      To directly address Mr ********** concern that the repair took longer than expected, he failed to mention he waited weeks to pay the required deposit to start.  When he picked up the car transmission worked  well. The engine would backfire under acceleration due to the incorrect engine mods that he did.  After he got it home he attempted to adjust the TV cable which he was told needed a work around kit due to his modifications As previously mentioned  he did not want to purchase at that time.
      At a later date he called to asked me to get the required items I recommended earlier.These are 40 year old parts no longer produced and difficult to find.   He was told the estimated time for delivery we received was after Thanksgiving holidays.  He called me on Dec 3rd furious that I did not call him the 1st day back from the holiday break.  He was belligerent.  I re-informed him his car was very old and was told parts would take this amount of time. I reminded him that his uncustomary mods to the car were the source of his problems.  He then said So youre calling my car a piece of shit?  I am coming  down there to blow your f****** head off.  And more.  I have a record of the call. After the call  he  filed this BBB complaint.
       We were closed From Dec 19, 2024 until Jan 2, 2025 for the holidays.  This is an involved complaint.  Mr. ********* has threatened us with violence and thus an incident report was made to the ***** **** police dept.  They have indicated that Mr. ********* has felony history for violence and should not be allowed on the property.    We received  his public record background report showing arrest for violence and need additional time to respond from council. 
      We are willing to look at his transmission issues and correct any failure that would be covered under warranty, Mr ********* is not allowed on the property and will be remove by police via trespass warrant. H can at his option have someone else drop off the car or have it towed in and picked up. 

      I have uploaded pics of his vehicle as proof of my technical assessment of his issues.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      He knew what my car was when it was picked up by his company. If he could not fix it he should have not taken my money and made the attempt. As far as my criminal history at least I'm not a theif. I want my money back to have a new transmission installed not a rebuild of as he says a 40 year old car that should have never been done.

      That transmission has not been manufactured new for decades.  New comes from GM direct.   That being said my offer does not change.  You always have the court system to bring a claim.  Sorry you don't understand the technical issues but that lack of understanding does not impose additional responsibility on us.
