I moved in summer of 2023 from US to Canada. I chose this company because it has good reviews. Unfortunately, the whole experience was terrible. There seems to be very poor communication between dispatches (I was dealing with a dispatch in the US and Canada) and truck drivers. When the truck arrived to pick up my items, I waited for an hour for them. I wandered all around the building looking for them. Turns out they were waiting in the wrong parking lot. The driver then tried to charge me a "waiting fee" even though at no point did he try to call me. I was told that the shipment would take 14-21 days to arrive. It took over 21 days - which would have been fine since I realize moving in summer is super busy - but at no point did they update me. Total silence. It wasn't until I called them asking what was going on that the woman in Ontario Dispatch said my file had just been sitting on a desk. I had Airtags in my stuff so I knew it had been sitting in the customs office for about a week and no one bothered to contact me. Once we got the shipment of my stuff organized, several of my items arrived broken or damaged. A lamp shade got completely shattered and I could see that they wrote on the packing form (Bill of Lading) that they had boxed it, but it was not in a box. It was just floating free, so the company they contracted out to completely lied. They also managed to lose several of my items. If you pack any of your items yourself they will not insure it. If they completely lose a box, you are out of luck. I understand they don't know what is in the box and you could claim there is a diamond in there. But there should be a flat $50 fee or something if they completely lose one of your items. Of course, every box I packed myself arrived with the contents intact and all the things that broke were things they packed. At this point I've called them and left several emails asking how to file a claim and I haven't heard back.
