On September 12th (Tuesday)Steve came to my home to give an estimate for small drywall roof repair in my garage and another small roof repair in a bathroom second floor. He gave me a quote of $ ****** but said he did not want to come back to start because it was a small job so if i agreed he would start immediately.I excepted and he started working right away.He did first part of work and then said he would return next day to finish the job. Before he left he asked to give him $200 the first day and pay balance the following day once work was completed of which I agreed. The second day (Wednesday) after completing the work I was dealing with an health issue with my wife (diabetic- low sugar emergency) and accidentally payed him the full amount $ 475 forgetting for a moment that I had given him $ 200 dollars the day before .On top of that I had a bike in my garage that he asked if was selling it and I said yes so he told me to deduct $ ***** from what owed him. Once I reviewed the work I decided to give him a tip as I was pleased with the work.Job breakdown cost was :$ ****** (job cost)-$ ***** (bike deduction he wanted to buy)$ ****** (balance owed)+ ***** (tip for the good work)$ 4***** (total I was going to give him $ ****** ( I gave the day before)$ 2***** balance due Once I payed he left and a few minutes later (5 minutes) once my wifes sugar level was stabilized I realized the I forgot to deduct the $ ****** given to him the day before so I called immediately. He answered and told me he was late for another job but not to worry that he would Zelle me the balance as soon as he got back to the office.Needless to say I never received the money or a call back. All I want is what is rightfully mine ($******) and move on from this horrible experience that was my fault for not paying attention and expecting honesty from what I thought was a professional business man.I do have text where he said time and time again he would pay me the balance owed.

The nature of my dispute is that I paid this individual to fix a leak on my roof. Steve ****** owner of the company gave me an estimate to fix it. He had someone else not license to fix the problem end up causing damage to the tile roof. I was not inform that further damage was going to be done in the house roof to fix the original problem. The roof still leaks and no resolution has been done. I found out he does not have a license to even be on anyone roof.
