    In August of 2023 ************************* (Owner of DTC Improvement) came to my home for a window estimate. He told me that due to the size wanted for the window, it would need to be a special order. Also told me that the color window I wanted was not available but that it could be painted. I paid ************************* in full in December of 2023 ($4,325.00) for the one single window (framing, labor, and materials also included in price). During install it was noticed by another contractor that this was an incorrect type of window (concrete flanged) to be installing into my WOOD frame house. ****** denied this and said that wasn't true, this window is fine to be installed on a wood frame. Upon completion of the project, the window does not slide correctly. Also it can be noticed that there is mismatching old glue residue around the pane which indicates this is not a new window, but has been refurbished and had the pane replaced. There is also mismatched old glue around the bottom of the window indicating this window came out of another home or business. There is also a crack in the pane frame poorly covered with caulking. On the exterior of the window the flashing that is meant to divert water has been installed backwards, which will run water INTO the window frame. He also covered the bottom channel that is meant to allow water to run out with caulking so water will now pool in the bottom corner. Ive also been advised this window is not paintable, so it is now the incorrect color and unable to be fixed. During install I asked ****** to stop as I had concerns and I did not want him to finish this job, he proceeded anyways in a hurry. I have provided pictures as well as the opinions of 3 other professionals in this field to ****** and he refuses to answer any of my questions about the source of this window and refuses to provide me with a receipt for the window. I asked him for just a partial refund, he declined and will not answer any of my further questions or concerns.
