    On 09/12/2022 we hired Kitchen Envy to design kitchen and bathroom for us, they charged us $2000 as a retainer, then they dragged us along without making much progress despite repeated inquires and complaining to the owner. We told them we no longer want to work with them and asked for the balance of our retainer, but we received nothing. By the way this business has moved to a new address: **** ******* *** **** ** ************ ****** ** ******

    We received notification of a complaint against our business ***** ** *********.

     

    The complainant agreed to a design fee for 20 hours of design work at a rate of $100 per hour with one of the designers on our team. 

     

    He became dissatisfied with the work and opted to discontinue working with the designer. In late October he called the owner to let her know that he would not be proceeding with this designer on the project. Originally, the client did not want a refund, but the owner notified them that she would review the scope of work and hours completed toward the 20 hour agreement, and should it be admissible, she would refund them any unapplied hours. 

     

    While working through the applied hours with the designer and working to come to a reasonable solution internally, before reaching back out to the client, we received a BBB complaint. 

     

    We have determined internally that 13 of the 20 hours were fulfilled, leaving seven hours of the contract unsatisfied and subjectable to a refund totalling $700. We have communicated this to the client and await their final determination as to whether or not they will proceed with the refund.

    I am rejecting this response because we did not receive services worth the time/money claimed by business, not to mention the considerable delay we have sustained due to their delinquency (see attached response to owner).

    In further response, we sent a Refund Agreement to the client on 1/6/23 via Docusign and have requested *** ***** *** *** ****** response by December 16th.
