    I usually don't post negative reviews, but felt it necessary for J&W. They installed a water-to-air heat pump in my home in November 2019, but it didn't cool until spring 2020. Several service calls yielded various explanations such as thermostat issues, vent adjustments, fan settings, dehumidification mode, and high static pressure. In April 2021, a technician found the issue: a twisted drain line.Over five years, the unit had numerous problems including refrigerant leaks, malfunctioning valves and switches. Each time, J&W responded promptly with repairs or temporary fixes, all covered under *********** September 2024, approaching the end of my warranty, I called about cooling failure again. The technician simply recharged the unit without locating the leak. By January 2025, when the cooling failed again, the unit was out of warranty, and I faced a $1,200 diagnostic bill.Deciding to replace the troublesome unit, I invited J&W for an estimate due to their familiarity with my home. Despite confirming the appointment multiple times, the sales manager didn't show, call, or text. The following day, he apologized for forgetting. Calls to ***** ownership went unanswered despite customer service promising to connect me.

    Although I wasn't happy with a 12-hour window after making an appointment on March 28 for an estimate of work requested, technician **** ******* entered the door extending his hand and introduced himself. He is personable, confident, friendly, definitely knowledgeable and forthcoming with solutions to my needs. He stated that he would be doing the job on the agreed upon appointment date AND time and promptly emailed an estimate along with pictures he took. A few days later, this same young man returned to do the job, installing two new toilets efficiently and timely, and he also gave me some good advice on keeping my kitchen sink from clogging. This being our first encounter with J&W, I would say that if **** is representative of the integrity of this company, I would recommend it AND him. Thank you ****.
