This company did good work for me fixing electrical issues in my recently acquired house. But when the air conditioning unit stopped working correctly, I thought since they do A/C work as well, I should trust them with this job. They said I needed a new motor in the system and charged over 5x times what the motor is normally sold for which I did not know at the time. At every turn in the future, I will do everything I can to notify friends and family, coworkers and strangers alike that this company will take advantage of them given the chance. And that they should stay away at all costs.

I am disappointed and upset by my recent experience with Snyder Plumbing. My elderly father called them for a plumbing backup, and they initially offered a free diagnosis. Upon arrival, they insisted on conducting a $500 video inspection of the sewer line in order to make the diagnosis. After agreeing to this, they then proposed an additional $5,500 for hydro-jetting and installing a cleanout.Unsure about these recommendations I consulted a professional in the plumbing industry. He informed me that the proposed solutions were potentially unnecessary and definitely overpriced. For a second opinion, I contacted another plumbing company. Upon inspection, he quickly located an existing cleanout, casting doubt on Snyder's initial assessment. Further investigation revealed that the actual problem was a root intrusion in the line, which would not be fixed by the original solution proposed by Snyder, and the very temporary fix they proposed would lead to the same issues in a few months and we would have to pay again to fix the actual problem. This appeared to be a blatant attempt to get paid in the short term for a job that was not completed correctly (video of the line), and then to overcharge for a solution that would not actually address the problem and need an additional, even more expensive fix in the near future. This was an attempt to scam my father, and based on my conversation with the employees of the company, it was apparent thay they were targeting my father due to his age. When I confronted Snyder Plumbing with this information, they dismissed my concerns, stating that their video inspection justified their charges, regardless of the inaccuracies in their diagnosis and the video proof i had from the other plumbing company. They were indifferent to the fact that they had attempted to overcharge my elderly father for services that were both unnecessary and ineffective. These business practices are concerning when they prey on the elderly.

We had an electrical outage on December 26th at our small Park Model in St Augustine, Florida. I was leaving for North Carolina the next day and had guests coming in for a month the following day. We needed a quick fix because the central heating unit was affected by the electrical issue. Snyder came and said they could do it the next day, but identified the existing service pole as being non-code compliant. Thus instead of a $400 repair, it was going to be much more expensive; it would have to be a code-compliant service pole installation. The electricians who did the work were very nice, but they only worked a few hours and I have been told since that the materials could not have costed more than $500. Snyder told me it was a big job and would cost $7,661. Normally, I would have gotten multiple quotes and used recommended folks only, but I was under pressure to get it accomplished on that Friday before leaving town. I've spoken with several qualified individuals since and they have assured me that I paid more than twice the amount that this should have cost. For example, we live in the Hurricane Helene-ravaged area of the western North Carolina mountains and many folks had to have service poles replaced, and even on the largest of properties it never cost more than $3000. A local St. Augustine electrician told me that the most this project should have cost was $3500. I feel very taken advantage of. I could never recommend Snyder and have informed many neighbors and friends of this experience. I do feel that Snyder should refund me at least 50% of what I have paid.

I scheduled an appointment with Snyder Air Conditioning 2 weeks in advance for routine general maintenance and repair of a leaking condensate drain line. The appointment was scheduled for 8/20/24. They called that morning and said they had no technician available to keep the appointment. They wanted to reschedule my appointment for 2 more weeks. When I said I was not going to wait an additional 2 weeks they agreed to have a technician come on 8-23-24. The technician arrived hours past my scheduled appointment, and I paid over a thousand dollars which included repair of my leaking drain line, but they did not repair my leaking drain line. The technician said he would have someone call me to make an appointment for the following week to complete the job. They never called me, and I had to make multiple phone calls to get a response. They sent a supervisor to complete the job on 8/28. When he reviewed the invoice for 8/23/24, he informed me that I was overbilled $400. He said he would arrange for a refund and 1 month later *** had no response. When I called today, they agreed I was due a refund, and someone would call me. Thus far Ive had no response. I think anyone wanting Snyder to service their AC unit should consider my experience.

Had a technician come out to look at water heater that was not working. Unit was under a parts warranty from manufacturer, but labor warranty had lapsed. After a quick call to the water heater manufacturer, in which they diagnosed the problem over the phone, the parts were ordered to fix unit. Technician told me that these parts, a circuit board and blower motor, are very time consuming and complicated repair. They told me it can take up to 4 hours to replace these parts and that it would be $1600.00 in labor to repair. Me, the homeowner, replaced the circuit board and blower motor in 15 minutes. I could have probably replaced them faster, but I was taking my time labeling and taking pictures of what I was taking apart. COMPLETE RIPOFF of a company. Not sure how or where they pull these labor estimates, but I can tell you that is an absurd quote. I will not be calling or using this company ever again.

Snyder Air is the worst **mpany I ever delt with. I purchased my unit 3 years ago from Air America. and had excellent service over the past 2 years from Air America until Snyder took them over.I have a 10 year Maintenace **ntract with Air America with twice yearly service for maintenance.Since Snyder took over the never call to schedule the maintenance calls, I have to call them. The last maintenance call that was done by ****** was a Joke. He came in the house looked at the thermostat and checked the temperature of the air **ming out of the ducts. Never went outside to the unit - said it was running fine. Last week on Friday Am the unit was not **oling so t and hey sent out ****** to check it out. He said it was icing up because the filter was dirty. The filter had been changed 3 weeks before because I always write the date on the filter when I change it. Put in a new filter checked and said all is well. Sunday during the night the unit shut down again and ***** came out. He said the blower fan is not working and needs to be replaced. He called the office to have them order the blower fan and was told they would receive it on Tuesday and try and get it installed on Tuesday but probably won't happen until Wednesday. Never heard from them so I called Wednesday morning - no part available until Friday. A/C has not been working properly since Friday May 31 and the temperature outside is over 97 degrees every day. Inside temperature is 89 degrees. Called Friday AM -still waiting for part hopefully someone will be at my house on Monday June 10 to **mplete the job. THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH SNYDER AIR IS THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS UNLESS WE CALL THEM TO FOLLOW UP. I guess when you have a 10 yr. Maintenace **ntract they don't rush to **mplete the job since they will not get any more money for **mpleting the job. My Rheem unit which was installed in January 2021 has had many repairs including a new **il, pressure float and other. My advice find another A/C **

We had our air conditioner serviced/regular check up. We were told the unit was in good condition. Three days later the unit stopped working. We immediately called the company back and they sent someone to repair. We were informed that the unit needed a new compressor and fan. This was concerning considering the unit was taken apart completely three days earlier and had been fine prior to this. We were told someone would contact us the next day. We ended calling and asking for a manager. We still have not had a resolution and we have received multiple different stories. One staff member told me they had the parts available, another told us we needed to order parts. We were also informed that the first technician was new and didnt know what he was doing. The manager has been busy every time we have called and we are yet to receive a call from the company. We have already paid for $250 for service, which potentially created more issues. Incredibly poor service and we still do not have a working AC unit.

Snyder is a company that absolutely misrepresents the services performed.I paid $354.95 for the annual *************** than two & 1/2 months later the system goes down and Snyder informs me I have to change to a heat pump system because they do not work on gas. I get a $115.95 refund on my annual contract . I was able to go with a reputable AC company replace new systems and they can service them too. Dont make the same mistake. Dont go with Snyder.
