    Hello, This is AFG APPLIANCES & FURNITURE responding to a complaint made by Mrs. ** * ****,


    On May 13, 2023, Mrs. ****** came to our store and bought a Kenmore Washer. The washer was priced at $385.00 before tax, and was $413.87 with tax. We offer a 30 day warranty on appliances, which is written on all receipts. Inside our store, right near the register is a big sign saying “LOOK!!! NO REFUNDS, STORE CREDIT ONLY!”. A photo of Mrs. ******’s receipts and of the “No Refunds” sign are attached to this response.
    About a month later, Mrs. ****** came to our store claiming her washer wasn’t working. It must be noted that this was after her warranty had expired. I told her to bring her washer so that I could examine the machine and make repairs if necessary. She left, and came back again without the washer, complaining that it wasn’t working. Once again, I asked her to bring it. On her third time coming, she brought the washer and also brought a man with her. This man was acting aggressively and even threatened to assault me. After they left, I filed a police report and a photo of the report is also attached to this response.
    I checked Mrs. ******’s washer and it was working completely fine, there were no issues at all. I called her to inform her and tell her to come pick it up, and I warned her not to bring the aggressive man with her.
    When she came to pick it up, we came to realize that she was not operating the machine properly. I taught her, and the person with her, how to use the machine and its knobs. She took the washer and left. I have not heard from her since, until receiving this complaint letter in the mail.
    1. Mrs. ******’s washer was working completely fine when she left our store, and it was made clear that she was not operating it properly, resulting in me teaching her how to operate it. Therefore we are in no way responsible for any maltreatment of the machine on her end after leaving, nor are we responsible for any repairs she claims to have made. Nor is it legally any of our concern.
    2. Mrs. ****** came to claim that her machine was not working AFTER her warranty had expired, and now this complaint is coming even later, almost 3 months after expiration of warranty. 
    3. Mrs. ****** is sure to have seen the huge sign in our store near the register stating “NO REFUNDS, STORE CREDIT ONLY” informing her of company policy while purchasing. Her continuing with the transaction is her consent to the aforementioned company policies, of no refunds, and a 30 day warranty (which is written on her receipt).
