I paid 130$ for an alignment on my **** ***** ******.. at SUNNY TIRES on ******** **** just for me to drive off and notice it’s still driving weird.. I go back.. and they tell me it’s because I need new back shocks, that will be $450 in order for the car to be properly aligned……. So I asked.. if yall knew the alignment would be useless without the new shocks.. why’d you take my money?
they said because if I come back to them for the shocks, they will redo the alignment for free………….. THE SAME ALIGNMENT I JUST PAID FOR THAT THEY DID NOT DO AND WONT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK FOR. What if I wanted to get the shocks done elsewhere? then they basically have my 130$ with no actual service performed. I want my money back.Initial Complaint

I took my **** ***** ******* to Sunny tires to get some rims and correlating spacers taken off and for stock wheels that i provided to be put back on and get the vehicle aligned on 9/12/24. Today, Monday 9/17/24, I returned due to the problem still being present and worse than it originally was. Upon me explaining to them that the spacers I asked them to remove, that they didn’t, caused the vehicle alignment to be thrown off again. In the process of me doing so they yelled and cursed at me and told me, “ You ****** the car up, not me!” And also that I didn’t know what I was talking about. During that a younger employee pulled me to the side and insisted to help me so I gave him my vehicle key and waited in the waiting lobby. Soon later the same man that was yelling and cursing came and brought me to my car to tell me that they couldn’t take the spacers off because the bolts were shaved down while still yelling at me. The same younger employee came seconds later saying that they could take them off if I paid an extra $250 for each one. As me and the younger employee talked another employee told me to shut up and sit in the lobby. At that point I asked the younger employee to just put my tires on so I could leave. And so I did.Initial Complaint

7/02/23- I purchased four new ******** tires for my **** **** ** *****.
- Total cost for this service $1,220.80.
- The business provided an e-receipt but the itemized receipt didn’t print correctly but the business owner/representative (****) did send me confirmation of my purchase via text and email.
7/05/23- **** of ****** ***** ** completed my wheel alignment as suggested by ****.
- **** recorded my mileage coming in for service at 30,826 and recorded my mileage out (post-service) at 30,835.
3/15/24- I took my car to **** to have the vehicle inspected as my ride was bumpy, uncomfortable, and I needed to determine the cause of the issue.
- **** confirmed it was my rear tire(s) and advised me to take the tires back to the original place of purchase as they should be under warranty.
- I called Sunny Tires, dropped the car off as advised, and was shocked and appalled to learn that they said, they do not carry this brand (********) of tire and never have.
- I explained that I never got my tires replaced and I purchased the tires at the institution but they didn’t seem convinced.
- I explained on numerous occasions that the tired were purchased there and confirmed no one worked on my vehicle outside of **** and they did not change or swap my tires.

This customer came up to us to buy four new tires because she travels a lot so we sold her ******** tires because they came with a 50,000 mile warranty and a shop warranty that if anything happened that was covered under the warranty they would be replaced we do for all of our customers. After purchasing tires, we did inform her that she should get an alignment we would have done it, but we do not do alignments on German cars so the customer when he got the alignment done the **** dealership informed her that her back tires were bad. I do not know when or how long she was writing on the tires which tires were on her car when she got the alignment. Upon this information, apparently they had come back to the shop, but it was not the young lady who we sold the tires to. It was a gentleman, and he informed us that they were driving the car to get their tire maintenance done and cannot come to us because they were out of state, they were driving far away from our shop by the time they come back to us there were four different tires on the car and only one of them matched, what we sold them. One had no issues. I informed them that the only one under warranty is the one we sold them and that whoever messed with tires to replace those tires and only one tire was ******** tire the others were ********, ******* and ******! We gave her the best prices we could on getting new tires and used tires at that time. We only had one used tire that would fit her car and she didn’t want it.Customer Answer

The company's rebuttal contains several inaccuracies and marks the third instance of them altering their story.
First and foremost, I was sold four brand new ******** tires, not ******** tires. This is evidenced by my invoice, which shows a charge of $1,220.80 on 7/02/23 for the purchase of ******** tires. To preserve my new tires, I received an alignment from the **** dealership on 7/05/23, as documented in my previous complaint.
The claim implying that I use my car to travel out of state is incorrect. I have not driven out of state in over three years. The fact of the matter is, I avoid long road trips because of my susceptibility to blood clots. Therefore, I travel by plane for work, and my car is predominantly parked at home as I work 100% remotely. Stating this, their claim about my travel habits is irrelevant to this issue.
Also, only the **** dealership provides service and maintenance checks on my vehicle, including alignments.
The assertion that a gentleman visited the shop on my behalf is false. I was the one who purchased the tires and returned to address the issue.
Previously, I attached pictures showing that all four of my tires were identical ******** tires.
Furthermore, Sunny's Tires has contradicted themselves. They first claimed they sold me ******** tires, but later stated that only one of the tires was ******** and the others were ********, *******, and ******. This inconsistency further demonstrates their inability to keep their story straight and undermines their credibility.
On 5/16/24, I was compelled to purchase four new tires from **** due to the instability and safety concerns of the tires sold by Sunny's. It's worth noting that I contacted ********, who informed me that Sunny's should have filed a warranty claim on my behalf.
It is clear that they have mixed my situation up with someone else's and/or they're okay with not taking the correct course of action to resolve this matter. Additionally, they have receipts that they write on and should have given me a yellow copy for my records, while the white copy should be in their record books. I would appreciate camera footage as I have no reason to lie. I have added pictures to show that all my tires matched and they were not different.
Sunny's Tires has not responded to the certified letter from my attorney, missing the deadline. Their response to my ****** review was also inaccurate, and I have attached evidence of this as well.
In conclusion, Sunny's Tires' practices are deceptive and unacceptable. I am now seeking compensation for the replacement tires, as the original ones were unsafe for driving.
