    August 24, 2022
Formal Complaint: On July 25, 2022, August 13, 2022, and August 20, 2022, I purchased 87 octane ‘regular’ gasoline for my 2016 Ford SUV at ******* **** **** ** ******* ** ******** San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville Florida 32223. Their telephone number is: 904-880-3886, corporate phone number: 904 -292- 3982. Along with this letter of complaint are four (4) exhibits, three (3) are receipts printed at the fuel pump for each purchase I made on the dates mentioned above. The fourth exhibit is a photo taken with my cellphone of the fuel pump I used on August 20. The dollar amount shown on the photo is $13.23 - which matches the receipt printed from the pump. In addition to the receipts from the fuel pumps, are my Mastercard statements showing the charges Welcome Food Store 5 billed me. The dollar amount on each receipt printed at the pump matches what’s on my Mastercard statement. However, immediately underneath the amount shown on my Mastercard statement is an unauthorized charge in the amount of one (1) dollar - which Welcome Store charged me! This charge was not authorized by me. This is not the first, second or third time this has happened to me at this retail store, it is the fourth time this calendar year 2022. Let me clarify, it is the fourth time I am aware of, it may have happened other times which I am not aware of due to a lapse in my review of my credit card statements. I may have overlooked, not noticed other unauthorized charges. Let me be clear, this is not a one-off, two-off or three-off, it’s happened four (4) times, at different fuel pumps at the same station. However, the one constant, their transaction processing system is the same regardless of which pump is used. So, which pump I used is not critical. I want to be clear about this unauthorized charge, ‘overbilling,’ it isn’t a technical glitch or fluke, it is systematic, as is evidence by the charge. You’ll note, the charge is after the printing of the receipt and is in the exact same

I ***** **** *** ******** ********* ** August 27, 2022 in which I advised him that the store did not charge him a dollar for his transactions at the pump. I explained that possibly he was using a gift card which charges $1.00 fee per transaction. Mr. McCluskey responded by stating that he had just found this information out from someone he was talking to and the card company.

He apologized and said that he appreciated us contacting him regarding this issue and assured me that he would contact the Better Business Bureau with the same information presented here.

I would appreciate it if I could get a copy of the resolution of this complaint sent to me either through email or regular mail.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.
