I purchased a food trailer from this company who is actually operating out of Pensacola, FL. They assured me they were building me a food trailer that would meet local health and safety requirements in MN where I will be using it. The unit arrived damaged (I hired a shipping company to bring it), and they state that there was no incident that caused the damage. Every place I've brought it to for inspection while dealing with insurance, including the insurance adjuster, have stated that the quality of craftsmanship is a major issue of why there was damage when transporting. The refrigerator was not bolted to the floor and the screws in the wall were not into braces and just sheet metal so they ripped out and the unit bounced all around and shattered the glass and damaged other items inside. The wires were not properly connected. The wrong kind of rivets were used and have all needed to be replaced. Many of the plumbing fixtures leaked; the doors wouldn't open so locks had to be repaired; the tanks and sinks are not NSF certified as promised, and I continue to get sent documentation in Spanish rather than English; the water heater and dials are all completely in Spanish (I specifically asked if this was made in Mexico and was assured it was not, however, the certificate of origin shows Mexico as well as several components); the unit is brand new and is rusting all over; the refrigerator I was told was sufficient and it is for display only and not for use with food storage unless prepackaged food. One of the light bars fell off in transit because it was not fastened to anything but small rusty clamps. I currently cannot get the unit licensed without many items being replaced. I'm not getting any resolve. I'd like a refund of part of the money paid for the unit as I am going to have to pay another company to redo things and hope the unit doesn't further deteriorate due to the poor quality of craftsmanship.

We are a mobile unit building company that is based out of Jacksonville, FL. The previous complaint appears to have been edited with different information than what was shown before. We advised this client to go with our shipping company to ensure it was transported properly and shipping guidelines were followed but as stated she chose to go with her own shipper. The driver that shipped the trailer wasn't using a vehicle that was insured (see text attached) and left immediately after delivering the trailer. It is clear from the pictures sent that the trailer wasn't handled with care, the trailer was in some kind of incident and the damage is a direct result of negligence on the shippers part. We have reached out to this client regarding this complaint and are working together to resolve the issues she has brought to our attention. We have included a liability waiver and proof of delivery that only gets signed once the vehicle is inspected and delivered.Although we do not give refunds as stated in the contract included we will replace anything that is not nsf approved. We want to ensure satisfaction of this client and are working diligently to do so.

I am rejecting this response because: the response is addressing shipping which is not what I was filing the complaint about; the complaint is because the unit was poorly constructed and multiple people have inspected and stated that is the reason for some of the challenges including the rivets popping as well as the refrigerator popping off the wall (brackets were not fastened to floor and were screwed only into sheet metal) and shattering and damaging many components; this has nothing to do with transporting it properly; this is a trailer meant to be towed so these things would have happened if I was towing it or a shipping company. These repairs are in excess of $5,000. Nothing has been offered to remedy this.

However, my major issues are that the unit does not have NSF approved equipment as stated when I purchased. I have asked multiple times for proof that they are NSF approved and continue to get items in Spanish or text messages stating the sinks are made from NSF materials and never given actual specs in writing showing the sinks themselves are NSF approved. The water heater is the same issue and all the dials and specs on the unit are in Spanish. They initially said they would send me a new water heater that meets the requirements in English, however, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. If I have to pay someone to remove and reinstall these items plus the cost of the new units, it will be in excess of $2,500.
