    Business Response

    Date: 11/12/2024

Mrs. **** originally called our business on August 1st 2024 to send someone out to diagnose a transfer switch issue not a generator issue. She was under the impression that she had a transfer switch issue because she had previously called other generator companies to work on her 17 year old generator. She was advised by one of the other companies that the generator had excessive damage, such as rotor bolts and radiator fan that where both hanging on by a thread. The companies that she called before us, refused to work on the generator she told our tech. When she called our company for service, she called in reference to a transfer switch issue not a generator issue. Our tech fixed the transfer switch issue on 8/6/2024.

Mrs. **** has a 17 year old generator that was installed with no permits, and other companies refused to work on the unit. There where storms coming and we went back out there on August 14th to try and help her out and get the unit running before Hurricane ****** Mrs. **** was extremely nervous with the storm approaching, and I sent my tech out with a battery to hopefully get her generator going. Tech installed a new battery and the generator cranked. The unit is 17 years old, Mrs. **** was aware that the rotor bolt was damaged, fan already damaged, the radiator was original from 17 years ago.

We attempted to help Mrs. **** out and try and get her generator working before a storm, but at the end of the day the unit is 17 years old and there is only so much we can do for a unit that old.
