      My home was wrecked in the hurricane - sept 28th - i filed the claim thst afternoon - it is now oct 6 th ! I have no roof - I’ve called 9 days in a row and no one will call me - they keep telling me someone will call - I’ve personally left the adjuster ( ******* ***** 5 messages - the adjuster refuses to call and set up a time - if I don’t get a roof on my home I will lose the rest of my home -
      This is crazy as citizens refuses to help - I have been calling basically begging for help yet no one does - I paid in full my insurance policy upfront - is this what Citizens does ? Take you money and run ?

      I called Citizens insurance on 7/17/2022, for a water leak which caused severe damage to our floors. A claim was filed on 7/18/2022. I have been displaced since then and I’m getting nowhere with the insurance company.
      They tell me there was a check issued, it’s now been approximately 2 1/2 weeks. No check, No Tracking #’s, No Return calls from supervisors or anyone from the company. Talked to the adjuster several times with no results. Called customer service several times with no results.
      Pretty sad for an insurance company that people put their faith in, that I understand is “State” own.
      I’m just wanting my check, so we get our house finished with floors and move back in..

      Citizens property insurance poorly handle my insurance claim. It took to month to get a check for the claim for my roof after I call over 10 times trying to reach someone for help only to be told to leave voicemails and someone would reach out. No one ever called back. On 7/9 They issues a check under the wrong mortgage company name in which all parties must sign check and the company on the check is no longer the holder of my loan so they will not sign. I have been calling citizens for almost a month to speak to someone about re issuing the check to the correct company, I have left many many voicemails and still no call back. My roof is damaged and I am afraid that if the wind is strong enough it will be more damage which is a very high stress situation when you have 4 kids that and one of which is a newborn baby.

      I purchased this insurance for an annual rate of $2476 and cancelled it 10 days later when my original insurer reinstated my policy. Citizen charged me $1981 for 10 days of coverage. I cannot believe the difference of $495 covers 355 days of coverage. I have reached out to the agent and company and heard nothing back. I understand that they charged a cancellation fee but $1981 dollars? How can I afford this kind service. This is robbery.
