    Deposit made January 23rd. Cancelled reservation January 24th. The campground that we are currently staying at jacked up the prices and we decided to shop around for somewhere else to stay while we travel for work. We found Sunny oaks RV to be cheaper we booked and then we found out that we had to give a 30-day notice that this campground that we are at now. It was a miscommunication we called Sunny oaks to apologize and cancel and they will not refund our deposit. She claims that that is her policy which I understand that it is a policy so that way they don't lose out on money but it was literally one day and it would not have caused them to lose out on filling the campsite with other customers. We would just like our money back since that would be the decent thing to do since it was only one day. The lady working there said she would talk to the manager to see if we could get our refund back but she canceled our reservation so now we have no reservation and we can't get our money back. My husband was not informed during that phone call that he could not cancel and get his money back.

    I appreciate receiving this message from the BBB. As the owner of the Sunny Oaks RV Park I was unaware of the situation described in your communication to me regarding **************************** 

    We do have policies about refunds for last minute cancellations, but as a small business we encourage our staff to understand that some customer circumstances are unique and require flexibility with policies. 

    The circumstances described regarding the LaPietras seem reasonable. We will reach out to LaPietras, apologize for the inconvenience, and refund their deposit immediately.  Additionally we will use this as a teaching moment with our staff. We work to have our customer service be one of the virtues that sets our company apart from our competition.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thanks for your quick action toward sunny oaks, guess they didnt want to mess with the BBB. We appreciate your time and efforts.
