the issue is long.in 2017 s went to this place to have taxes done. in 2020 I asked y'all to please help get records they stated they did NOT have! I finally got 4 pages. I am still working with the bank to obtain more financial records...what I do have.. in 2017 they took 4 payments of 200$ for IRS USA PAYMENTS then in 2018 they took 10 IRS USA PAYMENTS. in addition to 500$ payments he took in to them that are NOT reflected in the paperwork they sent me. what is even funnier is the paperwork they sent me does NOT reflect the 4 separate 500 $ drafts they took directly from his bank account in 2019 that I can prove....haha they didn't think I am smart enough to do forensics but my mother was an accountant ...too bad he took cash in tho.... In 2020 I am the one that finally got involved and had mailed the paperwork to them on April 2nd. I sent many emails about why they hadn't done his taxes and he had paid them. it was a basic simple tax. every year was. I filled the papers out and all they had to do was transcribe them. first I heard they kept switching who was doing his taxes. then they said they didn't have the papers. I had to tell them several times that I did mail them to where they had to sign for them and I had the green card with their signature on it. it wasn't until November 9th before they had it filed...and by that time they had charged him another 500$ for what?? they had NOT made a deal with the IRS he was already getting lien and levy letters. I asked him what was going on. he told me that J David tax law told him that if anything came in from the IRS to toss it and ignore it that he did not owe anything. I was horrified. by this time I found out he was in debt to the IRS of 17,000. paperwork was in Nassau County court on him.
so this morning after spending all night going through paperwork I called J David and spoke with someone who tells hehe was on a plan, the IRS was. April 22 19 kicked out 6/19 took 500$ really?

There is some serious confusion that this client has regarding the resolution with the IRS and with the contract for services. We are reaching out to the client to address these issues.

The IRS balance was approved for CNC for years 2016-2019 back on 1/29/21. 2020 was filed with a refund, but was changed with a balance. I told her I see the **** in HS that was sent in, but it is too blurry to see what the issue was with the 2020. I asked her to send it in, she declined. I told her without us seeing the notice we can't determine what the issue was. She said in November 2021 she was told they were in CNC with a lien. I said that is what happens with CNC. I went over the contract and what was supposed to be done. We got him compliant and got him into CNC. We tried to go over CNC with her and what that entails, but she does not want to understand what that stauts is. She couldn't even tell me when it comes to his solution, if there was an issue. All she kept saying was she wanted every document in the file to be emailed to her.Of course, we sent all her documents to her. We have discussed and explained several times what has occurred on this clients case and that they were in fact approved for a currently non collectible status (hardship status). They still do not understand or do not want to believe it for some reason. At this point she is falsely claiming we did not get them approved for CNC, this is plain and simply not true at all and we have plenty of documentation to prove that. That is the definition of defamation and if the client continues to falsely claim that we did not do things that we actually did do then we will have no other choice but to sue this former client for defamation. She is also falsely claiming we charged her more than the contracted fees, which is also plain and simply not true and we have all documentation to back this up. This is also, by definition, defamation and we will pursue the client for this if we have no other choice. It appears that no amount of communication with this former client will resolve this. We have all documentation prepared to show all that we have stated here this during the BBB arbitration process.  We look forward to hopefully resolving this matter during the arbitration process.

I would like to reject the offer of Arbitration for complaint ID ********. Rejecting the offer of Arbitration will not close this case. But leave it as an unresolved on both sides. And left online as a complaint. As mr crouse has a history of doing this to other people that has been proven.

I hired this law firm to help me regarding my back taxes debt. I sent all information requested and I was hopping to get a resolution by now. I paid $$$$$ for their services and so far I have not received any official documentation regarding the IRS response. I sent emails to different persons assigned to my case, and the response is very poor and short. They keep requesting information, and I request hard copies, and nothing is being sent to me. They take a long time to response, and I’m thinking and believing that this business is a scam!

Not real results or feedbacks from these people. Nothing has been done regarding my case! I see the other complaints and are similar to mine, and the BBB response is simple: “response by the business is satisfactory!”IS the BBB working for them as well?

For me it’s a lots of money paid and they don’t care. I just want for my case resolved by this poorly customer oriented so call law firm!

Hired J David Tax Law 08/2021. They said they could help me with a $18000.00 mistake my tax accountant made on my 2019 tax return that I found. My consultation with senior Tax Analyst *** ******* led me to believe and reassured me along with attorney ****** ***** that I would get the non-collectable from IRS. Before I signed on I wanted to make it sure my retirement account wouldn't affect me getting the non-collectable. *** * ****** convinced my under false & deceptive pretenses that it wouldn't. After 13 months later, over $2000.00 in interest & penalties, 2 letters from the IRS saying my account is going to collections/tax lien/levy and this is what they specialize in. Now they say I will have to pay the IRS in full and make payments. This isn't the outcome they promised me. Nothing has been done until 06/29/22 the day I told them I want a refund for services not rendered. That same day was only the 2nd time they have call the IRS about my case. Then they inform me that the IRS agent "they have been working with" was able to "convince" them to overlook the retirement accounts. Can you CONVINCE the IRS? I asked for itemized bill. In that itemized bill ****** ***** stated in her notes that she forgot to delete I was crying like a bababy. I did tell her I was crying. Instead of her getting all the documents from the IRS, she had me trying to scan and send to her and I'm not computer savvy at all, so I was overwhelmed, but for her to mock, make fun of and humiliate me more now, how dare her. 3 phone calls to the IRS, charging me for transfer of case review and 3 lawyers later. I'm worse off now than before. I'm the one who put my collections on hold. Did you ever even get my transcripts from the IRS or did you use what I sent you. Lastly they told me if it didn't work out for us to call a Tax Advocate. I can do that for free. It's all been lies, deceptions and different excuses. I want a refund for services still not rendered.

In June of 2021 I called into J David and discussed my situation with ***** ************ - he asked me to give him codes off my tax notices. I had $51k due and more than half of this was in penalties and fees. I had at least $20k worth of fees (not interest) which he stated is what they never have issues getting the fees removed but interest can not be forgiven. I paid $5,900 to them and was contacted by ****** ******** on 7/21/21 - I submitted the info she requested and last contact with her was 8/13/21. I got a notice that my file was assigned to another Attorney and began working with ******** ****** on 9/13/21. I again sent more info and by October my file was AGAIN reassigned to another attorney on 10/25/21 and was put i contact with Yashaswini Vasametty who seemed to be impossible to reach. Each time she set an appt with me she would forgot or "she was having phone issues" She had my file from around end of October (10/25-21) to mid Feb. I was fed up because so far I have paid $6k and so far nothing had been accomplished. At one point I asked one of the girls' early in the process if I should go ahead and pay and she said No. We are now well over a year into this and the IRS added more fees since I started this process. In early May my file again went to another person. So far I have 8 names who I have worked with thru this process between maybe half and half assistants. I finally got someone to touch my file and talk to the IRS after this, M****** ******** - he walked me thru what we need to do next and called the IRS. I was told on a first offense you do not have to have "reasonable cause" yet the IRS came back and said "I had no reasonable cause" and denied the claim. I am still trying to reach my attorney and the assistant 3-4 times this month with no response from either in 4 weeks. This has actually cost me more and saved me nothing. In the last year $5900 plus more fees added since I was told not to pay anything until they looked at it.

My mother and I hired J David Tax Law to help resolve my individual and business federal and state tax issues. I have unpaid back taxes and delinquent tax filings-amounts and missing returns unknown. Pursuant to our agreement, my mother paid J David Tax Law $8,000 in full monthly from May 2021 to April 2022. Out of their nine tasks in the agreement, they partially completed three of the tasks with their active involvement. To give credit where credit is due, they had an excellent tax preparer (not an attorney) who prepared 2019 individual and business federal and state income tax returns. Since my mother is a retired CPA, she had all the data extremely well organized ready to enter into their tax software quickly. She had a couple questions for that year which the tax preparer answered knowledgeably. The second attorney (out of 3 assigned in 7 months) prepared some simple Indiana payroll returns with zero amounts and an Indiana informational return. That is all they accomplished in all this time for all that money. One of the tasks they never performed per the agreement was a detailed financial analysis. As a result, they lacked direction, so one attorney wasted her time and energy preparing protests for Indiana penalties needlessly. To make it worse, the Indiana Dept of Revenue then rejected her protests anyway because she filed them untimely. Since they didn't seem to know what they should be doing, my mother educated herself and determined they needed to prepare Offers in Compromise. After constant prodding and getting nowhere, she told them we were going to prepare them ourselves. Then they haphazardly and wrongly prepared an Indiana OIC ready for client signature, offering more than was owed. After months of no action following this blunder, with the help of my mother, we prepared and submitted all of the OICs on our own. J David Tax never seemed to know or share with us how much was owed and which returns were outstanding, so we gave it our best effort.
